That commercial were everyone heads blow up in smoke from being speechless about the prices of stuff that are on sale or being bought. That's how I feel reading this! People in this world are totally beyond words! I can't laugh, it's not funny! Take it easy!

She may be an a-hole, but she's not necessarily a wrong a-hole.

Everyone knows the story of the teenager that is an LSU fan that lives in Birmingham and is dying of cancer. Les Miles has been in contact with him and the kids wish is to live long enough to see one more LSU/Bama game, God bless him.

I was at a friends house last night and of course we are all Bama fans. They are wealthy and have a skybox in Tuscaloosa, so we are not talking trailer park fans. These people are all alumni from Alabama.

She said, and I paraphrase, have you heard about the kid that lives here that is dying of cancer that is an LSU fan? I responded by saying yes I read a lot about it this week and coach Miles told him to save him a place in heaven. I proceeded to talk about how tragic it was and could you imagine being a teenager and your only dream left is to see a damn football game.

She immediately said, "but Miles is talking about having him come to the game and talk to the team and that could be the motivation they need to beat us. I have heard is is not doing well and we need to hope he doesn't feel like actually coming to the game and speaking to the team. I hope he lives but I hope he watches from home."

I was speechless! How do you respond to that? And, people wonder what is wrong with this fricking world we live in.

Friend's wife or your wife? Either way there in a 100% chance of "your friend's wife" going crazy and the video making its way to this site after Les, LF7, BH6, and crew beat Bama and make Sid's wish come true.

That's messed up BTW.

Key phrase is "some people" are messed up. This does not represent the entire fanbase.

I will give the OP props for sharing this story.

If a LSU fan said something similar, I would sweep it under the rug out of embarrassment and sure as hell wouldn't post it here.

If Sid wants to give a speech to Bama's locker room, I've got no problem with that. Sid can pretty much do whatever he wants.

The most touching part of his story for me is the wonderful way the people of his community have treated him. Nobody wants to see a child go through that.

I read a story today about the little girl from Vietnam who was captured in the infamous photo of a naked, screaming girl running after she'd been napalmed. She's all grown up now, a mother of two. Over the years, she kept in touch with the AP photographer who shot the photo and he helped get her treatments for the unbelievable burns she suffered. It makes it hard to go on when you think of all the suffering in this world but it always blows my mind to learn how people fight through it and refuse to give up hope.

So props to you, OP.

I've known some crazy, f'k up bama fans but that would be extreme even for them.

Carolina_Girl rocks. I think a lot of my fellow LSU fans would hand over money to see this.

There is nothing "right" about this. Nothing. No matter which team you cheer for. Kudos to the OP for being willing to share it.

She is pure trash. I'm not sure I have the vocabulary to add to that statement so I will shut up.

If LSU wins, will bama fans claim his speech and bama's lack of execution cost them the game?

I will not. This kid deserves whatever joy and motivation he can get. Kudos to Coach Les Miles for stepping up. Sometimes I think we all need to get our Goddamned priorities in order.
