Not a quote but this was cool.
Not a quote but this was cool.
quote:
That was when the President spotted him as he was walking towards the helicopter. With a big smile, Obama came over to the press pen and gave Luca a fist bump. His father, Pablo, usually the one taking the pictures, will probably be collecting some others for this moment. Luca seemed unfazed by the whole experience, but said it was fun when reporters asked him about it. Martinez says they live nearby and often see Marine One fly overhead.

I agree. Just bringing that point up. 3 of Lsu's 4 losses are from teams that are playing for a conference championship next week. In Auburn's case its 2 of 4
And Lsu just demolished A$M who smoked Auburn

I would not be too upset if Auburn won out and the other games happened in our favor. Auburn would extend Malzahns contract and that means bama would have 3 L's. It's highly unlikely, but Auburn could lose to Georgia and beat Alabama. That would help us too. As long we took care of business.

You aren't going to go against your boss too strongly bc he might fire you for doing so.

Made contact to determine if he was in fact wasted. If the woman was also not capable of driving, I would stall them while a buddy called the police.

I Just finished graduate school. I've been financially separated from my parents since I started college. Did you think I was going to have them pay for my insurance? If I had one of the 200 real jobs I applied to respond back with something other than rejection email, I wouldn't be entertaining this idea.

I'am currently applying for jobs not having a lot of luck and. I just finished grad school in may.
I cut grass right now full time with a small company. This job isn't exactly helping out my career either.

The HC makes 8K mine as an assistant would be 3k and 1.5k for JV football. A masters degree in Alabama is somewhere around 6k a year.

not really my mom tells me once week to move back home. Ever since I left for college. It's kinda sad actually. This a reason I dont want to do it because I do not want to depend on them.

In that case, my decision would be based on whether or not I'd be coaching another sport in the spring. If I had my afternoons off in the spring, I'd take the position if I were in your shoes.
Already ahead of you there, I didn't mind helping with Jr High basketball, but no baseball or softball. Basketball is finished around February and my afternoons are free.

About the school: Small 1A school in rural south Alabama. I played for the current head coach.
I am a classroom facilitator, basically a glorified baby sitter. It is a remote access class where students will receive teaching from another teacher from another school. I monitor that class and assist with instruction and testing. So I'm technically not teaching anything, I'm just there basically. I can only spend 5 hours a day in the classroom per the rules, so 25 hours a week. I will receive hourly pay like $20 an hour and coaching stipends for football and jr high basketball.
If it were only coaching football and no other duties I wouldn't have had to ask the board for advice lol.
I worked as a student coach at Troy I'm too familiar with breaking down film/cut ups, stats, player note books, setting up meetings and a plethora of any random shite they had us do.

Just to be clear, what would your responsibilities entail? Is this a job that you would be only coaching football? No teaching or other duties during the day?

I'm 23 and starting my career, so no. But if the opportunity arises in 10-15 years, why not?
You would rather disrupt your established career to take a massive pay cut rather than disrupt your career that hasn't even started? You're my boy but that doesn't make sense.
Yeah the bright side to this is I'm not established, if I were in an established career it would behoove me to remain in my career and not go on a wild goose chase.

I'm really leaning towards taking it. I think I would spend my life regretting the decision to pass it up. I think work generally sucks for almost anyone. I might as well spend a year doing something I enjoy and hold off the mundane life 9-5 lifestyle.
ETA: Health Insurance isnt included, but I can be added on my parents for less than 200 a month, so its doable.

Well I do not want to move back in with my parents. And I would basically be forced to do that. Thats my main reason not to do it. I guess thats dumb though.

I'm 26 and thats what I'm thinking an opportunity like this doesn't happen a lot. I'm fortunate to have it happen when I don't have major bills or a family to provide for bc then a career change is tough. And I guess coaching equates to leadership skills on a resume.
