I like both sports and think there are pros and cons to each. Softball is a faster game and better for tv viewing. It's like pickleball compared to tennis. If you really want to see some good ball, watch some of these girls playing 3rd base and how quick they react to get some of these speedy slappers out. One of my pet peeves is that baseball players can't bunt to 3rd base even when the shift is on and no one is playing 3rd base.
It's a free hit and they just swing away and usually hit right into the shift.

Are you a woman? I would hope so if you played softball for that long. But since you have never played baseball then how can you factually speak on it when it comes to how it affects one’s brain and physical abilities on the body?

Oh don’t get me wrong I love watching woman’s softball. I am actually impressed how they can throw so hard underhanded. I also understand that some softball pitchers have the same reaction time to the batter as a MLB pitcher. 65-70mph at like 46 feet is impressive to throw much less hit it. I have the utmost respect for woman’s sports and softball. But throwing 150 pitches in softball don’t have the same effect on the body as throwing 150 pitches in baseball l.

Simple solution. If you don't like something, don't watch it... but most definitely, you should always post in threads about it so that everyone knows YOU don't like it.
As I was reading Pigi's post, I was thinking... wonder what tRant Specical Ed posters think about this sport? Thank you for letting everyone know. We were worried.

All I can say is that I wish I could go back in time and make baseball a seven inning game and have a run rule.
Softball games go 2 hours and maybe a little more. In a baseball game you are lucky to be through the fifth inning in two hours.

Women are inferior to men

I don't know what any of that means, but I love you

Btw softball is one of the only women's sports that is actually tailored for women to play. And voila, it's actually fun to watch.
Are you arguing women should be playing 90ft bases and 325ft down the lines? Yes that would be awesome to watch, similar to women's basketball.
I'm just going to copy/paste your reply because there won't be a better one.

No matter how the obvious the troll, there's always one who gets duped.

What does it tell you that they had to shrink the field down to the same size that 9 year olds play on in order for it to be interesting?
It tells me they are women, who have inferior strength to men. Also tells me you haven't been to many 9 year old baseball games lately. Tell me how many HR you see >220ft. Again, what would you want them to do, play baseball??
You are welcome to turn the channel macho man. Btw I am a parent of both baseball and softball players, and find both to be equally enjoyable despite being a former baseball player.

Why because I asked an honest question. Just like I won’t say how softball would effect my body as I don’t play softball. But baseball I have played and played beyond high school, so I believe I do know the rigors of baseball and what it does to a pitcher.

Didn’t know shite about it until my daughter played the better part of a decade on the comp circuit. I love the sport, everything is faster, smaller field means you must execute flawlessly. Just as with baseball, you have to be an athlete just in a different way, one that I love. It’s such a fun sport to watch as anyone with a daughter who plays knows. Also, we once had a shirt made for my daughters male softball coach that said “softball coach, like a baseball coach but with bigger balls”.
It’s a fun sport to watch I would encourage all of you to give it a chance if you haven’t, especially in the SEC, just loaded with talent.
