So why should they get one ?????????

Because we're Bama, the proudest football team and most accomplished in history. And you're...well, y'all just realized what football was only 20 years ago.

Hang your hat on that and see how far past accomplishments get you in life.

It's gotten us into the playoffs every year so far. And well...you know what it got us in 2011.

Bama logic folks.

Alabama is going to need some help. If Clemson, OSU, Oklahoma and Oregon win out I don't see how they could put a one loss non conference champ ahead of two one loss conference champs. I think the SEC title game winner is the only one the conference gets in this go around

LSU
OSU
Clemson
Ou/Oregon

This is a 99% chance of happening. OU will get in over Oregon

Not only is it right, it makes financial sense. NCAA wont want to piss off 2 of the largest conference fan bases AGAIN. There's only so many times you can pass over conference champions before somebody stops watching.

Oklahoma needs to lose. Ideally Oregon/Utah need to lose too, but at least if Oregon is sitting there at 12-1 the Auburn argument comes into play and gives us a slight chance.

Utah and Oregon both play three more conference games, so there is an opportunity for a loss. Anything can happen in the Pac-12. I think Oklahoma unfortunately dodged their loss Saturday night.

OU is sitting pretty. They have it best of any team

Play in a shitty conference and get 1 loss each year but win the Big 12 you’re guaranteed a spot

I would rather play Bama in the first playoff game than Oregon, OU, or Baylor. I KNOW LSU is better than Bama. I don’t know much about the other teams.

LSU fans act like Ou is a high school team but I wouldn’t like Riley having a month to prepare for our defense

Who cares? Bring ‘em all!

We ain’t perfect but with Burrow and our O? I’ll put us up against anyone anywhere.

Geaux Tigers.

That said my guess is a one loss PAC or B12 team gets in over a 1 loss non SEC division winner. But I’d rather see 2 SEC teams in.

A1abama will watch the playoff from home if there are four undefeated or one-loss P5 champs.

There’s some truth in it as in a blowout would’ve hurt more but it’s also true even if we won by 50, Bama fan would have some excuse.

Here's a crazy idea...

seeing how all of these teams have 3/4 games yet to play...why don't we just see what plays out over the next month, then worry about what happens afterwards?

Bama, by simply being bama, will somehow, someway sneak their way into the playoffs again by not even winning their division, much less their conference. Some team will lose a 2nd game, but still win their conference but it won’t matter. Eye test and bama are like peas carrots. And that’s ok, because this rematch this year, we don’t have a coach afraid of them. And Tua’s “healthy” ankle ain’t helping their DB’s cover these receivers.

It really does seem like a stretch.

Bottom line, it would take a good bit to go Alabama's way to make it this year. And the only part in their control is the game at AU.
