So who does A&M settle for, then convince themselves was a home run hire, this time?

Let’s just get this out of the way now: Dan Lanning, Jim Harbaugh, and any other coach of a major program having current success isn’t leaving for A&M. The only reason Jimbo left Florida State was because he’d successfully destroyed their culture and beaten it into a lifeless pulp and had them sitting at a sub-.500 record and needed to jump the sinking ship.
Who’s going to be their HC version of Chavis and Petrino I.E. someone who’s destined to fail but their fans quickly start to believe will bring them their first championship since 1939 after the A&M internal propaganda machine goes into overdrive a week after the hire?

They will promote Elijah before Petrino. Honestly, I’m thinking it is Elko if he wants the job

We should be able to get whoever we want. It’s usually what happens. The problem is we always chase a has been who is in it for the paycheck and nothing more really. Hope that out process has improved and we go after someone who is hungry for success.
