That’s true. If we had a consistent offense we could beat anyone with our defense. But, I think there is more balance right now in college football.

They wouldn't have made a 4 team playoff.

No way the CFP Committee leaves out a 1-loss Notre Dame team out of a 4 team playoff when there’s only 1 undefeated team and two other 1-loss teams (Boise State & Indiana).

It kind of sucks that we didn’t get to see Oregon go up against a non-conference team. Their matchup against Ohio State was the only in-conference playoff game.

I'm just going off of their #5 ranking.

OSU was dead to rights after the Michigan loss and shouldn’t have been given a home game. Tennessee should’ve gotten that one.

I’d love to agree with you but Tennessee, Georgia, and Texas all embarrassed this conference. No game was even particularly competitive.

I hate the Shorthorns, but last night's game was extremely competitive. Texas had it 1st and goal from the one late in the 4th to tie or win the game.

OU would have beaten Tennessee at home. Not as badly, but I believe they would have won.

I'd say these are the two hottest teams in college football, Ohio State especially.

No but they did face off in the Rose Bowl. Oregon would beat Notre Dame 7-8 times out of 10.

Maybe for this year (though Notre Dame still hasn’t really played anyone decent). Any of the SEC (and Clemson) championship teams from the last decade would boat race either. Call it parity, I call it watering down, NIL and unlimited transfers have turned college football into an “amateur” version of the NFL, with less restrictions and no salary cap, to the detriment of the sport.

OSU is defnitely one. I'm not sure that ND is one of the two, but I'm also not sure who I would vote for over them.

All true facts. I just don’t think ND is better. I don’t have any issue with them being in this game. They earned it. But they are not in my top 2.
