Since the committee's precedent weighs number of losses over quality wins and Ohio St has 2 losses and one was to Michigan, I'd say Oregon should probably be #1.

No.
Only Notre Dame would have been in the 4 team playoff.
OSU was dead to rights after the Michigan loss and shouldn’t have been given a home game. Tennessee should’ve gotten that one.
Oregon got screwed with having to play a rematch after having almost a month off.
Penn State lost to both of the other Big 10 teams in the playoff and gets seeded above one that beat them and above a 1-loss ND team? What?
Texas only beat one top 10 team all year. And by the skin of their teeth. They lost twice to the same team, once at home. Their true road game scoring average was 21.33 points. They also got an easier draw in the playoff than any of the top 4 seeds.
PSU, OSU, and Texas were nowhere near the top 4 teams in the regular season.
I hate this format.

Yes. ND looks like a very complete team and OSU is the best money can buy.

They wouldn't have made a 4 team playoff.

I think the two best teams played tonight.

Both Ohio State and Notre Dame lost to unranked teams this season. Based on SEC Rant criteria that should eliminate them from contention.

Early season lost to a bad team has never been shown to have a direct correlation with how strong the team is at the end of the year

0 ranked teams in the entire regular season.

One thins for sure, there's a new Sheriff in town and it ain't the SEC.
Michigan and Ohio State will win back-to-back Titles.

Notre Dame is not a top 2 team IMO.
