So what have we learned so far?

A&M still has a potent offense, and a weak defense.
USCe shows the fruitlessness of preseason rankings. The Head Ball Coach has jumped the shark. Some real WTF decisions on his part in this game.
Bo Wallace is a head case, and Ole Miss still runs a Harry High School offense. It will catch up to them, like it always does, but they will still give LSU hell.
Vandy turned the corner last year. Straight into an oncoming bus.

I think Bo showed calm through adversity, shook out the cobwebs and took care of business. The Ole Miss D looked good.

Myles Garrett is the real deal

So, nothing has changed basically?

That was a program killing loss for Vanderbilt.

That's yet to be determined.
When the game was still in question in the 1st half, their front seven shut the coots running game down and knocked the shite out of Thompford. Otherwise, the only success they had was on broken coverages, PI penalties and when Aggie was in prevent.
They have kinks to work out, yes, but overall I was impressed with the aTm defense. Miles ahead of 2013.

when USCjr pushed our shite in 2 yeaqrs ago, we wound up being 5 yards away from a MNC
It LOOKS bad for the Coots, but this game might have been an anomaly - we won't know for several weeks.
But it sure looked bad for the SECE "frontrunner" and aTm damn sure looked like an SECW contender.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Vandy will always be Vandy, and nobody gives a shite about Vandy.

We know the West is still sick and the East still sucks. Plain and simple.

No one really gives a shite about Tennessee either.

Often times I find the first game always leaves more questions than answers.
The difference is some teams have good questions (A&M) and some teams have bad questions (South Carolina)

I learned that I am a bad predictor of games.
I overestimated JFF value to aTm and USC home field advantage.

The sec west will be a blood bath.

1. I am afraid Vandy is back to being Vandy. (which sucks because I like a quality Vandy in football)
2. USCe was not ready to play. They can't be that bad.
3. A&M is awfully good.........and Sumlin has a hell of an O mind. You don't need a lights out D when your O is that good, but their D has improved since last year.

Ole Miss will be an 8-4, 7-5 type of team.
Spurrier needs to stay in the office until at least 7:00 pm.
