It's called "Utah, don't choke in your ccg". Although then people would complain about them getting beat by 50.

I think we all agree. Oklahoma is not a top 5 type team. They’re more top 15ish. But they win their conference most years. Should any of the rest of the Big 12 even be ranked?

This is the dumbest opinion I've seen in a while.

Recognize that when a teams only "quality wins" are beating Baylor twice, you shouldn't be given the benefit of the doubt to get a playoff spot by default.

Feels weird to say this about one of my teams but I really wish they wouldn’t have made the playoffs. Whoever was going as #4 was a sacrificial lamb to this unstoppable LSU group. Getting a chance to rematch Georgia in the Sugar Bowl would have been great.

I suppose they couldn’t really put Oregon in, but that might have worked. That way Utah gets to go to the Rose Bowl. Baylor can go play in [the] Traffic [Bowl] somewhere.

I will agree that Bama or UF should have been there.

So you don't care about history, yet youre cool with telling 2020 or 2021 Oklahoma that wins the big 12 with 0 or 1 losses 'hey guys, I know your resume puts you in the playoffs and all but remember 2019? Sorry can't let you in"? How hypocritical is that?

Also do you honestly think Oregon would have given lsu a fight? People are just seeking anything they can to place blame (for some reason? I have no idea WHY this is) instead of just facing the fact lsu is head and shoulders better than everyone else this year. That not the committee or Oklahoma's fault

Oklahoma has been arse blasted in 3 of their 4 trips to the CFP. This isn't solely about 2019, this is about the last 5 years. I'm not blaming anyone, I'm talking about the fact that Oklahoma is trash. They played LSU about how Arkansas played LSU. They were down 49-14 at halftime. They gave up 500 yards and 49 points IN A HALF.

The Big XII hasn't won a SINGLE out of conference game against a P5 team all year. So yea, at some point, I feel like it's reasonable to re-asses leagues in general who do nothing outside of the league (and by nothing, I literally mean NOTHING), play 9 conference games and just get an auto birth to the playoff.

They win the Big 12 every single year and get in by default. Been that way for a while

They took Georgia to the brink 2 years ago

The other 3 trips they got taken behind the shed and beat to a pulp. The last 2 years the game has literally been over after 15 minutes.

So what? You can't leave a team out based on what previous editions have done, especially of there is literally not any other choice. If Utah won their conference they would 100% have gone. It's the same with nktre Dame, everyone knows they're going to lose in the first round but if they go 12-0 you simply can't leave them out. It invalidates the entire system.

If Oklahoma lost 34-31 in overtime would people still feel this way? Of course they wouldn't, which enforces my point that people are just mad that lsu is so much better than everyone else. They're going to kill Clemson too.

Memphis played a harder schedule than Oklahoma. Played and beat more ranked teams over the course of the season in the AAC than Oklahoma did in the Big 12. Let that sink in for a minute.

One loss Big 12 teams should be left out of the playoffs just like 1 loss Group of 5 teams.

Until that happens, frick off.
If y'all want your history and tradition to be taken seriously, keep writing the letters and postcards to the school administrators and your state government and let them know how badly you want to be SEC.

Start running the gauntlet of the teams which blow you out every postseason, let iron sharpen iron and we might start caring about your once-great program again.

Nobody is actually going to leave Oklahoma out of the playoffs if they are a clear Top 4 team based on metrics.

However, I vehemently disagree that what LSU did to them was just business as usual by LSU. LSU is fantastic, but Oklahoma literally looked like Arkansas or Georgia Southern. Oklahoma was not a Top 10 team by any advanced metric (again), and they once again trotted out and proved it on the field.

Truth is, some of us OU fans have become numb to the bowl losses. It sucks, but Lincoln Riley' s offense is very gimmicky if you ask me.

But despite all this, OU fans are not insecure, and we definitely do not cling to others in the conference or beat our chest about other teams accomplishments like you do in the SEC. Alabama is the only blue blood in the SEC, LSU is slowly on the rise with a couple more trophies. Congrats LSU on the win, I'm glad Lincoln got his teeth knocked in, maybe he'll do some soul searching this year.

A&M couldn't even win the weak ace Big 12 and jumped ship.

Starting with the 2nd half of the rose bowl, they’ve been shitpumped in playoff games... the last 10+ quarters have been embarrassing.

With that said, anyone else in their position yesterday was gonna lose... maybe not like that, but a double digit loss for sure.

The Big 12 with A&M, Mizzou, Nebraska, and Colorado, plus a Bob Stoops coached OU, a Mack Brown coached UT, and a Mike Leach coached TTU was a formidable conference that rivaled the SEC in depth.

The new look Big 12 is a shitheap of mediocrity that is set up to give OU or UT the easiest possible path to an undefeated record, and you frickers still can't manage to get through it without shitting the bed.

Same problem with ND. Name recognition over matchups.”

Please don’t bring ND into this thread. Nothing comparable with Oklahoma and Notre Dame.
ND plays a legit schedule each year and if they make it into the playoffs they have earned it.
The B12 is mostly just bad.

Too bad Oregon stubbed their two against AZ. I do believe they would have been more competitive last night.

Now having said, that LSU is just the best the team in the land this year and I think they will roll over Clemson in two weeks.
