This is true. We don't deserve to be in. had we not lost to LSU I might feel differently. But it is the full body of work, and we stumped our toe at Baton Rouge.

I would vote you guys in even with two losses. Put the best four teams in. Georgia is that. I am not on the committee though so you are going to nawlins.

To a certain degree, I agree with you. And I am one thta does not believe we should get in. However, do you really believe Washington is better than us. There are certain instances where you can see a team with a worse record is better than a team with a better record....or in this case I would think we are better than a conference champion.
Again, I don't think we deserve to be in the playoffs. It is what it is.

IMO most believe it shouldn't be simply the "four best teams" because it is a completely subjective argument. uga may be 1 of the 4 best, but based on the eye test most thought uga couldn't hang with bama. Losing 2 games, one game by 20 and not winning a conference title should eliminate uga this season considering one team is undefeated and the other 2 only have a single loss but won conference championships.
If uga gets in it won't mean they are actually 1 of the 4 best, but if they get left out it won't mean that either. If you step back and think about it the system is insane.

I understand what you are saying....and in a lot of ways agree with it. but, the SEC has shown that it is by far the best, and deepest conference in the country. Last year showed a bit of that. I realize that last year was last year, but the SEC dominance the past 10 years, led by Alabama gives us more than just the "eye" test.
The SEC regularly performs better in OOC games, Bowl Games, etc. It's not too far of a stretch to go by the eye test when comparing teams.
All that said.....we should not be considered for the playoffs with 2 losses. LSU made us look bad. I think we played an incredibly poor game, but it is what it is. It was a bad loss.

Honestly, was the SEC that deep last year? A team that throttled uga got beat by UCF. The SEC had a poor bowl record, etc...uga beat okie but that game could have gone either way. Thinking about it from that perspective I don't see a reasonable argument for leaving okie out with 1 loss to a ranked opponent, okie revenged the loss and won a conference championship.
Which leaves ND...in that case you have to compare bad loses. uga has one good loss and one bad loss. What about ND?
As my original post suggest I am not saying uga isn't one of the four best, but I am saying any argument that they are is based on speculation and not information. The kids playing this game deserve a better system than we currently have to offer IMO.

If UGA had beat Bama 38-14 or worse (which looked really possible) then Bama had its shot. No playoff for Bama.
If Tua had gone out in the first quarter and Bama lost by a field goal, I bet both Bama and UGA would have been in.
Problem right now for UGA is the other teams are 1 loss, not 2, and won their conferences.

Honestly, had Georgia won last night, I would argue that Alabama shouldn't be in. We played like trash and were very lucky to win that game against a fired up Georgia team that was peaking and had revenge in their heads.
If we had lost I don't see any way we should've still gotten in over a 1 loss oklahoma or ohio state. Last year, the only reason we got in was because the next closet team had 2 losses.

Cant help but disagree.Yes I think we're one of the 4 best teams but we indeed had our shot.

We are obviously probably the second best team in the country. Losing to LSU and the choke job against Bama though we deserve the Sugar Bowl.
