Bama's Defense is very good for what the game is today. I don't know that we will see teams with the stats of BAMA/LSU 2011 any time soon.

Rules and QB development has changed the game. The more talented teams 10 years ago didn't throw the ball 45 times a game regularly like you see today.

You can give up 450+ yds and 27-31 points and have a solid defensive outing these days if the Defense makes key plays and allows the O to get some separation at some point.

Clemson or Future Ohio State could be, yea.

Georgia and Florida are definitely also in the conversation.

Who knows who has the best team right now? I can tell you Alabama has a lot of work to do to get to championship level, a lot of work.

No, it's not very good for what the game is today. It's above average, but very good is Georgia.

Nobody (well, nobody sane) expects us to put up 2011 Alabama defense numbers. However, there is an expectation to be able to get off the field on 3rd down and stop drives. Modern defenses have to be able to create disruptive plays to stop drives. We've done that at a decent clip so far, but doing that at a better rate and doing a better job of not making idiotic mental mistakes is the key to our future defensively.

Bama is the most complete and season ready team I’ve seen this year.

I would say either them or Florida.

Georgia could be up there, but I don’t trust the QB position.

Alabama and Florida both seem borderline elite at QB.

I got a feeling Miami is a paper tiger, but we'll see this weekend. It's an intriguing game for sure.

I don't know, but if they would fire Golding and hire (or promote) a DC would would put some teeth in the defense, the answer would clearly be yes.

Yes they are #1 in my eyes. Is that what you want to hear? Because it means nothing.

Yep hopefully we have power and can watch some football. Don’t judge me for my seemingly misguided priorities?

You said your priority was watching football, right? I don't see the problem.

No. Mizzou and aTm are not good measures as to how good a team is. Everybody has been saying for years that polls shouldn't come until 4 weeks into a season. Why change that viewpoint now?

I would say they are the best right now. Look better conditioned and Jones has not been a step down from Tua (probably because there is no language barrier issues as the Bama fans feared initially with Tua).

When you can rotate one 5* after the other...you’re in good shape. So, yes. I think they are.

Well after 2 weeks, Bama looks the best IMHO. Bama showing great balance on offense and yes, Mac Jones is doing a great job. I always say that 95% of the time, the team with the best quarterback usually wins. Alabama vs UGA or Florida......think about it.

I’m going out on a limb and saying the best team is Miami this year.

I’ll wait and see how well we hold up against Georgia. If Bama can score 30 plus on them(doubt it) then I’ll believe we can play with anybody. Our defense while improved is not what it needs to be to compete with Clemson or Ohio State assuming Ohio state is what we think they are and Clemson is just sleep walking because their opponents so far are terrible.

I would have had Clemson, tOSU then Bama as the top 3 coming into the season.

Clemson is where I thought. Loads of talent. Their interest/confidence level are most likely to catch them off guard if they lose. I think they'll be focused for ND and the U.

tOSU still looks like the most talented roster with the most dynamic QB coupled with great skill players everywhere and handcuffed to a top tier D. They will be a tough out for anyone.

Bama is better on O than I expected, but D is not as attacking and suffocating in coverage and up front, as I'd hope they'd be.

That said, I'd likely keep my top 3 the same. But, they are interchangeable with tOSU in my mind right now
