Isn't Fort Worth basically the same size population wise as Austin and Republican led?

This isn’t unique to Austin. All Blue cities are ticking time bombs. They are run by idiots who do not believe in law and order. Atlanta, New Orleans, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Las Angeles, New York, Seattle, Portland, Memphis are all laboratories of woke agendas.
Maybe the rest, but there are other much worse issues with Memphis, BR, NOLA, Jxn, MS, etc.

Yes and sort of.
Ft. Worth is much less dense, spread out over nearly 100 more square miles than the city of Austin.
But these comparisons are not worth much as both cities are small sections of much larger metro areas and that has an influence on who is f$%ing stuff up at all hours.

Yep, Austin isn’t special in this regard
It's elevated only because the people who have collectively lost their minds are Texans. We should expect more from each other.
What a shame to see where Austin has fallen to and even more of a shame is that there is no self reflection to see the problem and correct it. In fact, the leaders of that town and county seem hell bent in pushing it further to the side of anarchy by neutering the application of law.

Ah yes, another unbiased report on the actual issues by fox "news." It's a good thing they aren't into fear-mongering and don't have an army of anti-intellectuals to which they can peddle it for ratings and money.
Yes, yes, I know, "libtards do it even more badder!"

Why does Alabama have the highest ratio of liberal posters on this board?
It seems that more than half of bama fans are democrats on this board

We really going to act like this stuff doesn't happen in Baton Rouge?
Posted on 2/21/23 at 10:29 am to PerrillouxToTexas
Nah there are fine cities like Mobile Alabama that have no problems at all with crime.

I don't think it's the politics.
New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine. These are all Democrat controlled areas, and yet they have much lower crimes statistics.
Could it be another factor?
Is there something different about Vermont, Maine, etc, that is different than other Democrat controlled areas?

Austin is becoming a shithole downtown. There is a reason people are moving outside of the city and commuting.
Dude that’s every city in America. What’s the big deal here? Oh it’s UT. Your big brother. So anything about them bothers you.

I am saddened by what has become of Austin. It was one of my favorite places.
I never understood why people want growth because with it comes growing pains.

Dumbasses that even put shite hole college station in the same sentence as Austin which is arguably one of the most popular cities in America and has been the fastest growing over the last decade have brain damage.
Austin is a great town with a lot to do. CS is a place all the leftovers go who can’t get into Texas and have to settle in life.

quote:I can attest to this. Fayetteville has been liberal for a while now but the rest of NWA is starting to turn that way too with the large population growth we have been experiencing.
If a republican-lead town ever grew enough to become an actual city, it would suffer the same fate.

I was going to say, "In before Aggie says Austin is a liberal hellhole," but alas, I was too late.

Austin was a conservative city which had a very good university. Poeple left California and moved to Austin to get away from woke politics and a falling standard of living. And damn if when enough of them got there they voted in the exact things they moved away from. This is what happened in Seattle,Denver,Bolder and Nashville.
Those are just a few of the cities taken over and run into the ditch by liberal Democrats.

Austin has more to do than College Station alright and much of it is no good. It is a little California in the middle of Texas.
