Because that was kind of unbelievable. All teams have some folks leave early down 21 under 10 minutes. 85% of the non-State people in the stadium left.

And how many left on November 3, 2012 when you escaped a frenzied Death Valley by the edge of your spittoons and your QB's tears ??????????

So have we discussed the whole LSU crowd mass exodus in the early 4th qtr yet?

Throw in the fact that sitting in the stadium is much less comfortable than my couch and the traffic situation after the game and you get all the reasons why I don't go to the games anymore. I tailgate and go home to watch on TV. It's much more enjoyable and you can change the channel after we try the same dive play 50 times without success.

I wasn't talking about going to games. I love going to games still and it's a reason why I have continued going for 10 seasons now.

I was replying to the poster that talked about LSU fans eating their own. And it has to do with the things I listed.

The crowd for the MSU game was actually electric. Especially after the scoop and score to cut it to one possession. Then MSU sucked the life out of it again by scoring twice on big plays with long drives.

Add to that the simple fact that the majority of LSU fans leave early NOT because we are way ahead or way behind - it's that they despise the horrible traffic trying to get out of Tigertown.

Non-LSU fans don't undertand that, but it happens to be the truth.

Traffic is no excuse. You have to deal with that shite at any event of that size. Like you said earlier they stayed till the end in 2012. Was traffic magically better that night?

Yea, I'm not a fan of those complaining about traffic...if you look at the map ahead of time and park in a location that gets you going in the direction you need to it isn't a big deal.

The only real complaint is that LSU has gone to season passes for nearly all on campus parking and with a bad neighborhood on the north, lake and River east/west and roadside parking eliminated on the south it has become a little more difficult.

LSU Fans, fat on gumbo, spoiled by winning, drunk for liquor, TV'd into zombie-ness, will vacate the stadium if it's more than 8 points difference whether down or up... Makes no difference any longer. The exception is Bama, Florida and some times Auburn and Ole Miss... That's it... And they only play two of those as home games a year. It's just what has evolved. Too much marketing. To high prices. Too easy to sit in the parking lot with unlimited food and beer and easy to pee access points everywhere... But lately, they're not even showing up in the tailgate wonderland either... They are charging huge fees to park and/or tailgate relative to the free for all of the past. It's all about the dollar and eventually you reach a point of no return that sucks the life out of the fanbase....

i left with about 4 minutes left in the third. i figured i'd have more fun pounding my g/f myself rather than watching a pounding.

have to give it to state though, they proved that they are worthy of at least entering the talk of dark horse. I've watched almost every home game since around 2004 and i can say they reminded me of a certain auburn team that went undefeated in 2004. I'm not saying they will go undefeated, just pointing out who they reminded me of.

It hasnt been discussed but when they pulled within 5 they(the remaining fans) were loud as hell.

That amazed me too. I was there and on that last drive I could not believe how loud the 10-15K that were left got.

Yes but we can gladly discuss it again. Did you hear they had a bunch of recruits there?

I still can't imagine what this was like for them.

The recruits left before we did. Bastards were smart...

10-15k real fans can make some noise.

Really as has already been said, only surprise is it didn't happen at halftime like it usually does

This is nothing new. You can easily find articles about fans leaving early last year at half when we were kicking Auburn's azz and the same kind of thing against Florida which we also won (though the weather was nicer, but 10x hotter for UF). So it's not like LSU fans only leave when LSU is losing - not at all.

Yes, LSU traffic sux terribly after games, but there are a number of people that really don't care that much, but basically show up for reasons unknown. Definitely a spoiled crowd now... On the bright side, losing actually helps that sort of thing. If we string together a few performances like that, our crowd will be hungry again in no time. Come on losses!

I left half way through the fourth because lsu was getting it's shite pushed in.

I'm sure that's why most people actually left, no matter what reason they actually gave. Place stays packed if lsu gets a stop on third and 11 after the scoop and score.

Not many. LSU was actually in that game until the end. So, just for the record, LSU fans only stay for close games?
