No. Texas seems very compliant with SEC rules to me with how they have handled Cole Hutson, and the admin is not going to rock the boat for basically a "break glass in case of emergency" type player.

Can you elaborate on what the "ineligible issues" that are being worked out with the NCAA? The SEC "rules" provided "specifics" about rostering a "NFL" player, not simply playing them. Is Cole's "ineligible issues" with the NCAA as Sark has mentioned related to NFL "career" or tryout?

Don't know for sure, but I think it has something to do with a futures site. I couldn't find the post, but I saw it on Surly Horns.

The SEC filed an amendment to its federal lawsuit against LSU, Lane Kiffin and school officials on Tuesday, which seeks the authority for the SEC to expel LSU from the league. The SEC is not expected to take such action, but the filing indicates the seriousness of the league as it attempts to affirm the legal right to enforce its own rules. That was the point of the original federal suit filed last week. News gathered with ESPN's Dan Murphy and Mark Schlabach.

Texas has no intent to violate the SEC policy that was voted into effect in a unanimous vote. Why is this so hard for LSU fans to understand?

No. Cole Hutson was denied eligibility by the NCAA. He won’t play at Texas.
