I'm not sure of the distinction you are making. I know he was not on the depth chart for the game vs. Texas State.

As things have been worded, he has been denied eligibility "at this time". The best guess is that it is more than likely tied to Texas self-reporting violations small scale infractions for the entire AD for the use of polymarket/kashi, with one of those violations being for someone who is no longer with the program.

Sounds like Hutson finished football and decided to do some prop betting on current events, then the 5-for-5 rule kicked in, and he decided to come back and now needs to work out with the NCAA how to deal with this happening when he wasn't an NCAA athlete and now got to come back...

If he wasn't on the depth chart, he wasn't rostered.
