Gas is $5.00 a gallon in Hawaii. Moving to Alabama would be a break in the cost of living.

Kid wanted to stay home and to to Samford or Birmingham Southern, couldn't afford to walk on. Got stuck going to Delta State and only got an offer there after his parents harassed the coach for weeks to watch a tape, that they filmed from the stands themselves and made themselves.

Birmingham Southern is division III and doesn't give athletic scholarships.

If they do make the move official, this will help Alabama’s chances at landing Tua’s brother when he makes his college decision. He’s already told SEC Country he’d like to play for the Crimson Tide and wanted to commit to them when he received his offer.

Chasing younger brothers can be dangerous. One of the underlying things that brought Fulmer down after chasing Jimmy Clausen, for years. One thing is Casey, but getting stuck having to take on Rick was a slap in the face when Jimmy went to ND

Ole Miss hiring Cutcliffe to get Eli, also hurt Fulmer in the younger QB bro game.

Have you ever even been in the same room with Niblett or Propst? Ever know a single person that played for either one, or the parents of a player?

I played for Niblett at Oxford as a senior in 2005. I never met Propst. Niblett was a good coach. I can't speak on Rush Propst.

Tua little brother is now playing at Thompson HS which isnt far from Tuscaloosa. The HS coach did a interview confirming the move today. I wonder how many Hawaiian familys could afford to quit their jobs and move the whole family to a rich little town in middle Alabama about a hour from Tuscaloosa? jus sayin

Nothing to see here. Just another shady move by the elite. Where the hell are ya NCAA!?

Julio lived in Aaronville and his mom worked at Church's Chicken in Foley and when Bama came into the picture they moved into a Booster's home in Summerdale and Julio started driving a Escalade, I live in the area and it's common knowledge around here. That's pretty good for a single mom on a Church's Chicken salary.

You know how I know you don't know shite? She worked at KFC for years even after he was drafted and signed by Atlanta, not Churches. She moved to Summerdale after he signed his NFL contract when he bought her a house and Escalade. I still see her from time to time at the gas station at the intersection of 59 and 32 and she's about the sweetest lady you will ever meet. Dumb arse.

I remember when Tua was being recruited, one of the considerations was that the family was going to be moving no matter who he chose, so that was always going to be a factor on where he chose.

And, it's been reported that the younger brother and family chose Alabaster because of Thompson's relatively new coach, Mark Freeman. He's won 6 state championships, prior to coming to Thompson, and, he's supposed to be really good at developing QBs.

But that doesn't fit the Awbs storyline...

I personally know the person that installed the new sound system in his truck while he was still in High School.
