Nice shot at kU:
"How big of a step do you think it will be for Missouri in the SEC?

TJM: I think it’s going to be a rigorous transition because of the bottom teams in the SEC. They’re basically what the mid-tier teams were in the Big 12. The top teams in the Big 12 are every bit as good as the top teams in the SEC. But we get to play Kansas every year in the Big 12, and there’s no Kansas in the SEC. It’s almost like you have off weeks in the Big 12. You can’t say that about the SEC. You have to bring your “A” game every week."

Just Moe's opinion - not mine. I just liked the shot he took at kU.

I like how even Big 12 athletes at other schools pay homage to Texas. He said that Texas wins the 2009 BCS title game going away if Colt McCoy doesn't get hurt and Oklahoma State was probably the best team in the country this year.

If McCoy doesn't get hurt, Bama doesn't scrap their gameplan and play super conservative. Outcome would have been the same.

Oklahoma State was probably the best team in the country this year.

These no-defense-playing dumbasses are in for a rude awakening next year.

Moe does not speak for TPAWZ or many other realistic Mizzou fans

Some things that make this dude look like a fricking idiot

quote:

The top teams in the Big 12 are every bit as good as the top teams in the SEC.

No they aren't. The top of the SEC for the last 6 years has taken the championship game. Most of the time with less struggle than they get from a good conference game.

quote:

Offensively, I don’t think we have to change a thing. They have to cater to what we do.

If mizzou makes no offensive changes then they get demolished and franklin doesn't make it through the season unscathed or at the very least shell shocked and disoriented.

quote:

We have top athletes and pass-rushers in the Big 12

I won't pick my argument on this statement based on the athlete mention.

You guys haven't seen a pass rush like the SEC provides. SEC pretty much corners the market on elite pass rushers. There are a couple of exceptions every year but for the most part the SEC gets all the elite pass rushing talent every year.

quote:

The big change for the defense is that we’re used to playing against the Colt McCoys and Brandon Weedens, the top quarterbacks. Now, we’re going to be playing against the Trent Richardsons of the world instead.

SEC quarterbacks usually rip apart shitty defenses. I wouldn't act like Weedon and McCoy would set the world on fire in the SEC. Whole different ball game. Those guys are great but how much would they suffer from SEC defenses.

quote:

Texas wins that game and maybe wins it handily

Texas's problem wasn't how bad their qb play during the game was although it wasn't good. Texas's problem was their team was soft and Bama treated them like a misbehaving hoe for most of the game. Colt McCoy wasn't even doing all that great while he was out there.

quote:

It has to be Arkansas. People around here do not like Arkansas, and the people in Arkansas aren’t real happy about Dorial (Green-Beckham’s) decision. He’s getting a lot of hate mail from them. But it’s more than that. People here just don’t like Arkansas, and I don’t think they’re real fond of us, either. The only thing I really know about Arkansas is when Missouri beat them by 30 points (38-7) in the (2008) Cotton Bowl.

I hope this guy gets to play arkansas before he graduates....give his dumbass one more score to remember.....I don't know why people in missouri don't like arkansas though, we Arkansans try to avoid that place at all cost so it isn't like they have to see us a lot.

I agree with most of this, except that last bit about Arkansas 'giving us a score to remember.' You would probably beat us, but I guarantee it would be a close game. With the exception of Tennessee (lol), you guys didn't really take any teams to the woodshed during conference play, due mostly in part to that suspect defense (much like us).

The only other thing I might argue is that the SEC really didn't have a lot of great QB play this past season. Wilson was great, Murray and McCarron were good, but outside of that..
I realize much of this is due to the quality of the defenses these QBs face, but realistically it wasn't a great season for QBS in the SEC.

You guarantee that? What was Mizzou's record last year and what was Arkansas'? And remember, you played last season in the Big 12 North for frick's sake.

No, we did not for frick's sake. The Big 12 didn't have divisions last year, so we actually played a 9-game conference schedule and faced every conference opponent. This means we played Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Kansas State, Texas, Texas A&M, and Baylor.

How bout this gem from David Ubben the ESPN big 12 blogger:

quote:

DU: Good point on those SEC defenses being awesome. I know guys such as Morgan Newton, Justin Worley and Clint Moseley give defensive coordinators nightmares.

So who the frick is justin Worley and who told him the other guys on this list gave DCs around the league anything but hard ons.

David Ubben is just awful. I don't care who the ESPN SEC bloggers are, they have to be better than that clown.

Ask USC about us. We dicked around and were half asleep through a couple of games against teams that we didn't even need to bring our C game for. Bama and LSU were both that much better than us. Just look at what Kstate did to the big 12 and what they did against us.

The dude lost all credibility once I read that. Clearly he lives in Lala land, no DC is scared of a QB with a fricking Herp Derp Gif.
