Why is it a dumb post? People give bammer grief for claiming the 1941 championship because they didn't win the SEC championship. Well they didn't win the SEC championship this year or in 2011 either

How did Bama back into a NC last year. The Playoff Committee was tasked with picking the four best teams. And Bama clearly was one. There was no requirement to have a conference title.

And Alabama shouldn't claim 1941. They should claim 1945 or 1966.
Regardless, Alabama proved to be a formable team in 2011. They beat the #1 team in their own state. And the 2017 team beat two top three teams in consecutive weeks to claim a title.
