Didn't Alabama have to play the #1 seed? Didn't Alabama have to play the #3 seed in their home state?
This window was opened when college football went to the BCS. And it became a full fledged door with the playoff. Sure, Alabama has taken advantage of opportunities. But they certainly aren't the first program to get them.

Maybe just a door that has been kicked in. Funny how this stings so many so bad, they beat Clemson then UGA for the title, they beat 2 of the final 4 teams. Get over it loser. Winning the west is not a requirement for the play off winning against all but one top ranked team does. No different than had auburn beat UGA got in with multi losses and won out for a title. Now a multi loss team winning it is something to whine about. Alabama just proves again when it counts they get it done. Both Clemson and Georgia had their shot and no one said they did not belong. YET Bama beat em both, that just eats at you and we love it. Now go back to mamas basement and whine in silence.

Has any BCS or CFP rules been broken during either "back door" Championship? Doesnt matter how you get there, as long as it's within the framework of the rules. What does matter is what you do you once you're there.
Would your fan base accept a "back door" championship? Pretty sure they would....in a heartbeat.
