Go look at the last 3 classes and you will see a ton of attrition, lots of issues on the OL, and big numbers that inflated the class rankings with lots of filler.

So yes, they have recruited well, but have had tons of misses/transfers/injuries in key areas like CB and OL.

A&M is about where you expect them to be if you look deeper into who is still there on campus, not at the recruiting rankings.

What amazes me the most is the lack of grad transfers, especially at OL and CB. But then again if you fill up on filler players to boost the recruiting rankings you may be short on counters to bring in grad transfers. Curious if A&M will have APR issues in the future.

A&M President's office, supported and encouraged Mond's actions

I don’t think a university president, in this climate, has much of a choice in this sustaining anymore. Gotta support your loudest students or face potential national scrutiny.

Recruiting classes have been good, but have had holes. Particularly on the O line.

Jimbo has stuck with Mond too long, IMO. I get not replacing him to atatt the season and see what your experienced leadership can do, but at this point he's had two games to show he's the leader he's supposed to be and he hasnt done it. It's time to move on.

O-line is where Jimbo has struggled early on. Sumlin left the O-Line in terrible shape and we whiffed on a couple of big time oline recruits. They're starting to get more talented now, but as a unit they're a step behind the rest of the team for sure. Definitely our most glaring weakness.

Young gave a platform to an individual who quite literally pulled a Jussie Smollett. He offered a reward for the arrest of the person who did it and when the investigation proved the victim did it to himself...silence.

No. You are incorrect in what I am doing. You seem very interested in this topic.

I have no interest in turning this into a racial discussion. Plenty of that already elsewhere. Also characters of coaches players is another topic and one I also have NO INTEREST in debating. Fisher has some skeletons in his closet also, as does Oregon and a lot of other coaches. I don't give a frick about any of that. These guys are getting paid to win games and that’s what this is about.

It's human nature, Aggies are in full self defence mode. It's easier to put all the blame on one player (Mond) who isn't nearly as bad as you make it sound. Easier to digest than blaming Fisher for what that implies. That's my point.

We are the champs until someone else wins the trophy. Take a hike until you’ve won the west.

They just latch on to Bama football glory and pretend it’s them. It’s creepy AF that you Gumps tolerate this.

Texas took care of A&M in the past, so they're looking to replace that with Alabama in the SEC.

've taken a look at your last few recruiting classes and while those rankings aren't the end all be all(they have to be developed), you guys have pulled in some elite classes... Your roster is loaded so how are is it that you're still a middle of the road SEC team??? With your resources you should be right up the with Bama, UGA, and Florida.. Is Jimbo really that bad??

He might be the biggest con of all college HC right now!

this is awesome. it took bama's best decade ever to go 8-3 vs lsu and lsu still made 2 ncg's and won 1 in the same division as bama

No trigger man equals we suck. Not a very good offensive line equals we suck. Combine the 2 and we really suck.

I saw on an A&M board some fans are starting to wonder if Texas high schools becoming so focused on the spread offense has hurt their ability to recruit lineman (and even defensive players). A lot of TX fans are starting to think the emphasis on the spread and 7 on 7 type of football might actually be hurting them. Not sure I agree but it definitely has me wondering if maybe there's more than a little truth to that.

I didn’t think Mond played badly yesterday. He made one bad throw for a pick. Other than that he was pretty good.

They were lazy and thought they could just buy a championship by hiring a coach with a ring. Doesn't help that the perception is that they're a perennial little brother/also-ran
