Schulz Brau Oktoberfest was as good of a beer as I've had in a long time. This will not be our last time to Knoxville. .

Leave it to Tennessee to ruin it for everyone else.

Excellent observation, board illiterate TheFourHorsemen. I agree there would not be enough Miami fans in Neyland stadium for a VOLS/Ole Miss game to do that.

And yes, they should go after them

It's going to be extremely difficult to identify any of them in a stadium, and even more difficult to uphold a conviction. Think about it. Those cameras are going to be picking up the back of kids' heads in an area with tens of thousands of people all wearing similar gameday attire. The resources it would take to actually find enough evidence to support a conviction would expend far too many resources for the Knox County DA's office for a bunch of misdemeanor charges. Sure, it sounds good in theory, but in practice it's a tall order and not worth it for the people who would actually be dealing with it. If the school wants to deal with it internally through judicial affairs, so be it.

There should be a push to punish the fricking morons who did it. Tens of thousands in fines, restitution and court costs would deter any other moron from ruining it for the rest of us.

They are reviewing footage and arresting people. 18 have been arrested thus far. If they were a student, they face potential bans from future games.

Honestly, I never got the pull of recreational alcohol.

Taking the edge off being nervous or just feeling inclined to drink because your friends or family do it just means you’re a pussy.

My understanding was 18 were arrested the night of the game as it was happening, not after reviewing footage

You're right, it would be difficult to get most. That's why you make the penalties so bad that they roll over on the other people who were throwing shite.

I'm sure you're right and this sounds better in my head tho.

Example 42423478 why UTjr are hated losers.

Sounds like the league will not accept, "we can't identify any individuals after reviewing the tapes."

You can best believe they are going to offer some sacrificial lambs to take some of the pressure off of the whole "you better look closer at selling alcohol"...

As far As sales of over priced beer being banned, not going to happen. Too much money being made by the schools.

No one got hurt,

On camera they showed some girls getting medical attention and holding their head. I'd also say throwing a golf ball and coming within about a foot of the opposing coach is pretty damn bad.

Sorry but there is no excusing what happened at that game. The fact it continued going for so long was really pathetic, I could be more understanding if it was just a few kids and they were stopped quickly. Instead the folks throwing crap got rewarded by moving up to the seats the band was sitting in because the band and cheerleaders left for their own safety.

I thought the fine should have been $1 million and maybe banning alcohol for UT for the rest of the year. That would send a real message. It's BS to penalize other schools for what UT allowed to happen as well.

Not banned, but many venues already have cutoff times IE: halftime. Not saying this would happen, but they don't even want it considered.

Here's a real surprise, Pat Woke Forde wrote a hit piece on UT stating (among other things) "Tennessee’s next home game, against Georgia Nov. 13, should be contested in an empty stadium other than family members of the players."

What a freakin' moron. Good Lord, the SEC hate in that man is off the charts.
