I cannot and will not choose between biscuits & gravy and chicken & dumplings.

Biscuits and gravy vs Chicken and dumplings was the hardest one for me. I have said in the past that my grandmother’s chicken and dumplings with some collards and fried cornbread would be my last meal request. So, I’m going with chicken and dumplings.

Kansas City has lodged a protest over BBQ ribs being included on a list of best southern foods.
In their statement they claim Kansas City ribs are just as famous as Memphis ribs. They went on to say that neither Kansas nor Missouri are in the south. They make a valid point.
They are demanded ribs be removed from the ballot.

BBQ in general is considered southern food. It started with whole hogs.
And the guy who first started selling BBQ ribs as a business was from Tennessee and learned there. He only opened his business in KC.
Protest denied.
