Cam...and not even that close for me. Undefeated his one season he played at Auburn. Never seemed to make a huge mistake. And killed LSU the one game that he played against us.

I didn't say you were for either of those schools; just that most of you are very much against another.
And you are.
It's all good.
And understandable.
It's tough to acknowledge a newbie in any sort of positive manner.

I hate UF exponentially more (because I live amongst their fanbase) and Auburn slightly more than A&M. And Cam was the best. Sorry

I suspended this topic last week.
This vote isn't sanctioned and means nothing.

quote:
Beginning at the 1:55 mark of this podcast Bruce explains that Cam used to be the best player he had ever seen. That opinion has now changed. Bruce goes on to explain his firm conviction that JFF is the GOAT.
Bruce is probably the most revered college football writer in the country. Show me another more highly regarded. His opinion is worth infinitely more than any consensus this community reaches on the subject.
With that being said I'm announcing that the debate over the SEC's best QB in history has been suspended. The fallacious arguments about championships (JFF's lack of which are in no way his fault) not only miss the mark but are intellectually dishonest. It's difficult to articulate how far short they come to carrying the day.
The discussion may re-open if a writer of Bruce's class hereafter contradicts his very direct statement. That statement again being that JFF is the GOAT. Unless and until that happens, Bruce's opinion will serve as binding precedent on this issue.
Thank you.

Cam
JFF
Tebow
A small factor is that in decending order, they had the least to work with their heisman years. But their actual abilities are in that order as well. And their NFL time will be in that order also.
The latter is obviously a prediction but most will agree. Not a knock on JFF or tebow, but cam was a freak specimen. He ran through/over hall of famers. Jonny football made shite happen as well. Tebow had a huge luxury roster.

I'd like to see a version of the results taking out auburn fans who voted for cam Aggies who voted for JFF and Florida fans who voted for tebow

Cam. Whether the question is who I liked the least, or who I think was the best.
Best career goes to Tebow though.(not really fair due to extra years)

I'll admit that JFF was maybe more electric or fun to watch, but I'll take Cam
Back to top
