I've been firmly on the 9 game bandwagon sing the Jacksonville State debacle. Would rather lose/struggle against respectable opponents

Although, JSU and Memphis ended up being our best wins of the season

Are you kidding? In the last 10 years we own you. Florida is 6-4 over the last 10 years. Come on over, Aubbie! You might never win an East championship!

You might want to pick LSU or Alabama if the goal is to make the East more respectable. Not sure Auburn is going to do it.

Sounds more like you are running from Alabama more than trying to improve the East, though.

I would imagine Arkansas does, too.

UGA screaming about "owning" Auburn when they haven't won an NC since Herschel had one personality is really cute

Nobody screaming. Just find it odd that you are ALMOST 50/50 against Alabama, and want to move to the East where you can't beat two of the teams. Nobody sad Auburn people were smart, though. How are you going to win the East if you can't beat Georgia or Florida?

If you are scared of Alabama just say so. there are a lot of little brothers scared of their big brother.

I am curious, though. Why would we be threatened about Auburn coming to the East?

ETA:

In the last 10 years, Florida has as many SEC Championships as Auburn. You might want to stay in the West. Eventually Alabama will fall.

No, I like Mizzou in the East with us. If we ever go to 16 schools in the conference, particularly if we take in east coast teams, then Mizzou to the West would make sense.

I feel like Auburn belongs in the East.

It was always the intent for Auburn to continue to play UF and UGA on a regular basis, if the conference knew then what it does now, not sure Auburn wouldn't have been in the East from the beginning. UF and UGA have very little history with Tennessee.

Seeing as how we haven't beaten Auburn since 1933...hell to the no

We have not played but 9 or 10 games since 1992. I think we've not played one USC team that won 10 games or more.

We have a losing record to Vanderbilt. Moving to the east might allow us to catch the Dores.

Yes. Even if we can't beat them, I'd still like to play them in Williams-Brice every other year and have the opportunity to travel to Auburn every other year.

Missouri just isn't that exciting of a home game to me, and I don't have any plans to go to a game in COMO anytime soon.

Meh, I guess. Wouldnt seem natural for awhile after all these years, but I don't really oppose it. Id prefer we just add two schools from the states of Virginia and North Carolina to the East. I'm tired of us taking Big 12 castoffs. They are not geographically or culturally a fit.

Yep. But it is the team and not the coach. It won't change.

Not enough information to answer the question. Several variable I would want to know before giving an opinion (I'm assuming that Missouri goes West):

1. Are we maintaining an 8 game schedule?

2. Are we keeping permanent cross division rivals?

3. If yes to 2, who are the cross divisional opponents for Bama, Tennessee, Auburn, and Missouri?

Without knowing the answers to those questions, I don't think I can really form a firm opinion. I'd sort of like to keep Auburn on A&M's schedule, but if it was better for the league, I wouldn't complain.

I am all for it. The current configuration means someone has to go east. He'll send Bama I am tired of them kicking our arse
