Houston is somehow worse than Atlanta, San Antonio is on the level of Memphis. Shut the hell up.

Why would Texas fans want to travel to a crap tourist city for a game that didn't really matter to them

it was about 30-40% Texas Fans at the michigan game. Same with the bama game last year. Arkansas game had good amout of Texas fans. Vandy Game, and A&M. The reason why there wasn't as many texas fans at the sec champ game than expected is 1. travel fees 2. most tickets were 1k+ for a&m 3. saving money for playoffs since texas was an auto lock. 4. atl and athens are only 2 hours apart.
There were not many Texas fans at Kyle Field outside the visitor's allotment. Fewest Texas fans I've ever seen at the game, even though the stadium is much larger. Of course, back in the day, we used to exchange 12,000 tickets, and now it's just 5,000 or so.

No they didn't. If Atlanta and Georgia had gone Trump, Biden would have still won the election.

And take it to the Poli board.

To be fair, they would have had 100k at Jerry world.

Crazy how the B12 gets the good venue while the SEC gets Atlanta.

frick Jerry World.

I'm not a huge fan of MBS but it is the best current option in the SEC footprint.

The new Titans' stadium will be inferior to MBS as well. Capacity of 60K expandable to 70K and Nashville doesn't have the hotel rooms to support an event like the SECCG.

I don't think the media really GAF where post-season games are played. It's all about number of viewers, which would be the same no matter where they play the dang thing.

LSU, Bama, Florida, Auburn, and obviously UGA, all have a large contingent of fans in the ATL area, TX not so much. That is one part of it.

Both teams in the playoffs already, another part of it.

UGA fans starting to get spoiled, UGA has been in that game every year Kirby has been coach, except two (2020, 2016), someone correct me if I'm wrong. So maybe the honor of making that game is starting to wear off on some fans.

And as a trend across the sport- isn't it nice to watch the game for free on your 70 inch ultra HD tv with your own bathroom and refreshments, and watch a bunch of other games?

You could see the empty seats at Turner Field in the NLDS games while the Braves were on their division title streak.

Unfortunately, we shat the bed too often to see if people were just saving their money for WS tickets to draw any comparison to see if UGA fans are just saving for CFP Quarter/Semi/Finals tickets.

1. Both teams are in the playoffs regardless of outcome

2. In spite of this game being in Georgias back yard, both fanbases hope to come back to Atlanta for the real championship, and that will cost a few bucks...even for Georgia fans within driving distance.
