I think Arkansas has been #1/#2 in the nation for the past little bit. They've had a pretty good hold on the SEC the past 5-6 years winning four of the last 5 SEC titles.
They just cant seem to finish the deal in the NCAAt and win a title there.

This top 4 completely delegitimizes the sport, IMO.

The final four last year was Florida State, Clemson, Stanford and BYU. With FSU winning the national title.

Over the last several years our women's soccer team has been just good enough to not quite reach the top of the mountain. Still impressive showings considering that Women's soccer in Arkansas doesn't have a tremendous number of ladies playing at the high school level.
Instead we have to recruit the country including, of all places, our next door neighbors Oklahoma. Oklahoma, rather then go after home grown talent, seems to be happy getting their players from Texas. Odd, but thank goodness they do it.

Yeah hopefully we can be though. UF was on top for a long stretch but our coach got old and we have been at the bottom for several years now. Tennessee was building a monster but FSU stole their coach a couple of years ago. Bama won their 1st SEC title 2 years ago, and hopefully they can keep it rolling. There is no reason we can be the top conference. Just need to hire the best coaches.
