Which will never happen.

Fayetteville is fun. Their version of “campus corner” is more enticing than ours.

This shite keeps coming up with the new guys as if most Big 12 basketball tournaments weren’t in KC and football championships were in TX.
It’s the same reason why the ACC basketball tournament is in NC so much and why the SEC women’s has been in Greenville so much. It’s the only way to get butts in seats.

This is no different than some new comer moving into your town and wanting to change it. Why the hell did you move here if you didn't like it?

Help a newbie out. It seems tourney locations are.....
Football: Atlanta
Basketball: Nashville
Baseball: Alabama
Softball: Athens
Gymnastics: Alabama
So every tournament is far on the East side? I know these sites were predetermined before OU and texas got here but when can we start to see the softball tournament in OKC and football at Jerry World? Lets make travel somewhat even.
I don’t want to see it change, at least not right now.
Football is only 2 teams and if you make it then that means you are also in playoffs and will need to spend some money.
The rest are fine for now. Softball seems logical in OKC but in some ways not. Because the softball championships are already played there its likely SEC would not want to go there for their tourney. If anything have it at OU, they have the biggest campus softball complex in country.
But honestly, we knew this was price of admission. Let is get acclimated into conference several years before demanding changes. Thats my opinion.
One can also look at it another way. If we had stayed in B12 and they added Utah and other far states and those new schools wanted to move from Dallas to Utah, would you be for that? I would not until several years go by to let things settle down.
For all we know SEC could expand again and then you more considerations.
We were the ones moving in not the rest of conference.

The SEC Baseball tournament will likely never move out of the Met. The RV situation is too good and Hoover does everything the SEC asks in order to keep it there.
I haven’t been in 2 years but am now just waiting on which sessions I need to attend lol.

Football really doesnt move. It's been there forever. Baseball also doesnt move despite fans wanting it to. That said, it would move to FL so not where you want. Basketball has been in Nashvegas or Atlanta.
Sorry but also Frick you westerners

That city does absolutely everything the SEC asks it to do to accommodate/support that event.

You've clearly never been to Fayetteville.
It's often regarded by many fans of opposing teams as one of the nicest towns in the SEC.

once the various contracts come you will see changes. open bidding will bring more money.
no way Hoover can outbid dallas or houston.

Most but not all tourneys that’s the clear distinction. Keeping football, baseball, and basketball in the same spot for decades without rotating is silly. However I 100% agree it’s all about the $$$

And don't name some minor league stadium in Frisco or Sugar Land, because they don't have 12 locker rooms at the complex or 5 practice fields.

I hope that never happens because putting it in a soulless MLB stadium would effectively kill the tournament.
Part of what makes Hoover so good is that there’s little issue getting butts in the seats thanks to the RV parking that attracts all of the hardcore baseball fans. It’s why moving it to Regions Field up in Birmingham’s Southside is a bad idea. Nicer more modern stadium, but the parking situation is absolute arse.

In all fairness, Fayetteville is a great college town.
I’m thrilled our fb series with Arkansas has been rightfully moved out of Jerry World and back to the campuses. But I digress.

Conference tournaments are boring (note all the empty seats at most of them) and only delay what everyone is really waiting for - the national tournaments (and now the expanded football playoff). They’re just an outdated legacy of another era, time to get rid of them.

However football may stay in Atlanta since if they move I can see the ACC champ moving right in and don’t think the sec wants to risk that.
This is so silly. As if Atlanta wouldn't kick them right back out whenever the SEC wanted them too.

That’s what makes Hoover special. “Look at all the empty seats” doesn’t apply there.

Maybe but I’m guessing the sec doesn’t want to take the chance. If it rotated at least for those years having the ACC there is not good for the sec so I’m sure that’s a big reason they won’t move it.
Don’t think it’s silly at all.
