I still have Kris Mangum’s autograph. A Magee, Mississippi kid. Played for Gene Stallings at Alabama.

That’s pretty awesome. Yeah, that entire family had good genes. I can’t help but laugh when you mentioned Magee, MS. It’s such a small little town and I got a speeding ticket going thru there lol.

We can only hope a better school plucks him away soon. Looking at you Carolina.

If OU was in SEC, our baseball program would give Mizzou a run for the worst year in year out.

If it helps any I expect Bama to be back in the NCAAs either next year or the year after with what y'all are building down there. Its just going to take some time to put the pieces together.

You can't do the one season miracle turn around in a conference as loaded as the SEC in most sports unless you have a freakish situation like a very talented Auburn giving up on Gene Chizik and then roaring to life under Malzahn.

As for Missouri they were royally hosed by the NCAA this year. They should be in a regional.

From 1995 to 2014 we went to 16 of 19 NCAAT, 3 CWS, a national runner up, 2 SEC Titles and 6 SECT titles.

National Runner up to who? Come on, you can tell me. I’ll hint it. 1997.

Are you aware Alabama and LSU played each other for a national title in baseball?

97 right? Beat us like a fricking ragdoll (SECT?), then we get revenge.
I didn't watch then, but certainly know some of it.

South Carolina had a run recently where they made three straight CWS finals, winning 2 of them.

It is amazing how many people actually believe something like this when it was meant as a joke the whole time.

It's a little more complicated than that.

Regular season: final series, LSU @ Alabama. Alabama needs to sweep to win the conference championship, LSU needs one game to win the championship. LSU loses first two, 4-6, and 2-26. Won the third game 6-4 and took the regular season championship.

SEC Tournament: LSU beats Alabama in the semi-final, 12-7, but then loses in the final, 2-12. Alabama takes the tournament championship.

CWS: LSU goes into the finals against Alabama with a record of 2-3 vs the Tide, wins the game 13-6, takes the national championship.

6 games (3-3), 3 championships between the two teams, each the runner up to the other for each title.

There’s certainly a contingent on here that live and die by it and attempt to use it as a “trump card” over the success of others.

If you're going to use something to flame Bama at least make it something that matters, like losing a NC football game since football is important.

Right and some of those are just trolling/flaming which is all good. 99% of actually fans wouldn't argue that finishing 2nd in a sport or last are the same thing to them. It can be fun to act like that when a team you are rooting against loses at that level though.

Damn 8 in a row has fricked up some lsu fans.

Bama Baseball...

quote:

The Crimson Tide baseball team leads the SEC in all-time wins with over 2,500 victories.[3] The program trails only LSU for the most SEC regular season titles with 13 and 7 tournament championships.[4] Tide baseball teams have participated in the NCAA College World Series five times (1950, 1983, 1996, 1997, 1999), finishing second in 1983 and 1997. The Crimson Tide have also had over sixty players make it to the major leagues, the most in the SEC.[5]

1.) Why are you so triggered by a Missouri troll thread?

2.)
quote:

Instead of copy and pasting from the Alabama baseball Wikipedia page, would you care to fact check this for us?

LSU Alumni to make MLB

Florida Alumni to make MLB

Alabama Alumni to make MLB

Not comprehensive lists, but better than a Wiki source that leads to a broken link.

EDIT

quote:

The Crimson Tide baseball team leads the SEC in all-time wins with over 2,500 victories.[3]

Another incorrect portion of the Alabama Baseball Wiki page. Alabama is 3rd and could be bumped down to 4th/5th by this time next year (or possibly this year if a certain team still in the NCAA tournament makes a legit run and things fall a certain way).

Be better. Don't copy and paste from Wikipedia next time.
