Still vividly remember sitting in right field drinking beer as Alex Aliva went yard to put us on top in the Supers against Carolina......only to then lose on a walk off in the bottom. All after getting mowed down by Andrew Miller in game 1.
There were some MLB dudes in that series.

Yes, but only through highlights and a bit of word of mouth. Some of our other championship games in that insane stretch get brought up a lot more for obvious reasons

It’s still that god damn 2006 super regional against UNC for me. I’m in the student section. I saw that grand slam. And it’s never been the same since.

Well. Alabama was damn good at baseball once. We’ve just lost our way for a long while now. Hope to be back again soon.

Yep - I was sitting in RF with Mal Moore and his dog. That was the night we ceased to be a national player in baseball.

George, did you know that Jake Mangum had Alabama picked first to play for because of his family tree? You had several stars (one in football that had a 10 year NFL career).
Mangum chose MSU after talking with family and had Alabama been good he’d probably signed there.

Makes since. First and sadly only time I’ve been to Omaha was 2008, in which we lost to North Carolina twice.

He was born not too far from where I live. Great guy, in fact his entire family are great.
