West:

Progressing: LSU, Alabama, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Arkansas
Stagnant: Mississippi State
Regressing: Auburn

East:

Progressing: Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee
Stagnant: Missouri, Kentucky, Vanderbilt
Regressing: Georgia

Good point re: records though. For instance I've got Georgia going 10-2, which isn't a serious regression at all by record from 2012.

Better, and here's why:

QB - same, but Manziel will improve.

HB - better. Our best running back was ineligible this year (Brandon Williams)

WR - same. We lose Swope, Nwachukwu, and McNeal, but gain Adeboyejo, Seals-Jones, Parker, Tabuyo, Jaquay Williams, Gonzalez, and Echols-Luper

TE - better. We lose Lamothe but gain Clear

OL - same if both Joeckel and Matthews stay, slightly worse if one leaves, worse if both leave

DL - better regardless of whether or not Moore stays. Significant upgrades at DT

LB - worse. You don't just replace Porter and Stewart that easily

DB - better. Great influx of talent and depth coming in

K - can't get much worse than Bertolet

P - slightly worse depending on Kaser's play

Also we get Missouri instead of Georgia.I don't know much about Vandy except they lose a lot on offense but Franklin is a good coach he will have them ready. If Texas still has Mack Brown as their head coach I like our chances.

You'll need significant improvement on defense. Your OL may give you issues next year as well.

How can you determine this before you see who they bring in as a coach and who declares for the draft. They could possibly lose their 3 top Wrs and Bray.

Both projected first rounders in the first 20 picks of the first round. They both will be gone and you will have a sophomore center that has never started.

Both your starting safeties are seniors and two of your starting LBs.

Teams will be much more adjusted to Manziel & Sumlin's schemes next year. TAMU may be as good next year, but their record probably won't reflect it because the West will be stronger over all.

Depends on what, if any, Juniors go pro.

Players returning are solid and experienced, Powell will be back and majority of recruits are defensive players. Elam, Floyd, Easely are the determining factor.

Joeckel is gone. Matthews is a maybe.

For Alabama, it is very tough to say. On offense we will lose Jones, Warmack, likely Fluker, and maybe Lacy but return everyone else. On defense, we lose Dial, Williams, Square, Mosley, Johnson, Lester, and Milliner. That is a lot to replace on the defensive side of the ball.

If Fluker stays (unlikely), I think we have the potential to be better on offense. On defense, we lose a good bit, but there are some guys that are right behind them that are ready to step up. The leadership we lose on the offensive line and defense will be tough to handle.

Overall, I see us as being about the same as this year with the possibility of being better if Fluker stays.

OK Nostradumbass. Tell me how you come to that conclusion. Most of our playmakers return next year. A better group of recruits to push them too. I guarantee you we are no worse than 8-4 next year too.

FL gets better
LSU stays same
TAMU gets worse - losing some key players and a year of film on JFF has a big effect.
Bama D gets better but O-line questions for the O.

While there's always room for improvement, I think the defense has been and will be fine. It was supposed to be A&M's achilles' heel this year, and they stepped up to the plate in nearly every game (laTech notwithstanding).

Well this has not the slightest hint of homerism.
