Taking off my homer glasses,
He didn't possess the ball after his movement stopped.
In any case, it's a cheesy type of play and I think it should at the minimum be a reviewable one.

I could be wrong but I thought when they flashed the rules on TV that you can only review a play that was deemed "no catch" on the field?
I only got a glance of the graphic so I could have easily read it wrong.

Probably should have been reviewed, but he dropped it before he was done falling. I'd be mad too but don't know if it would be overruled. We've definitely cashed in years of luck for this postseason.

On the graphic it said a catch/no catch in the infield can be reviewed if it would result in the third out I'm pretty sure

Why would the rule specify the outfield and foul territory? What about the infield means it shouldn't be reviewable?

Yeah, but the idiotic way Davidson played that easy pop fly doesn't deserve any review. Looking at it again, it would just prove that they don't have little league fundamentals.

I have seen outfielders hold the ball less time than that when trying to make a throw and it's still called a catch. That was almost like "the ground can't cause a fumble" in football.

I wouldn't be mad at all if that was called a catch, but I agree, they completely fricked up the communication. It's not like the drop wasn't deserved.
