Text messages showing coordination
between Kiffin, the AD, and potential
players to circumvent rules already on the books. Now, this may be a ruse
to be forced out of the SEC without
penalty to go independent.

I think the SEC, which is valued at 17 billion dollars, knows what they are doing

Do they? Because Sankey is currently on the stand and can't define what a professional player means.

Honestly, if they were stupid enough to do this, they deserve any penalty coming to them.

I find it hard it to believe that the Tamper King isn't smarter than that though.

Even if there is a text message from Kiffin to the players to “start a lawsuit to get a TRO” that isn’t breaking any rule

The SECs only play is to try and scare LSU. They have absolutely nothing which is why they have thrown out ridiculous statements to the media likr kicking lsu out of the conference and now suing them in an Alabama court which has absolutely no legal standing whatsoever

I think they want to go independent but
not pay the penalty for doing so.

Clearly? What evidence do you

Evidence? Asks the dip shite who was spouting LSU wasn’t involved and is now retracting that?

What a whore of the moment you are

Ole Miss didn’t care. They covered for everything he was doing. Maybe got arrogant and stupid after that?

This won't work out well for Stankey

Possibly. I doubt a coach's school could cover up tampering for him though, that's the kind of thing other people report you for (i.e, Dabo).

Guessing they have public record documents indicating that LSU did coax the players into suing.

Your inclusion of the word coax is funny here.

But seriously, if lane told the player, “Hey, I would love to have you at LSU and there is an open roster spot for you, but you will need to sue the NCAA like everyone else is doing to try to get your extra year of eligibility back.”

Is there a rule violation there?

Can we get wellness checks on the plethora of LSU fans here who said “the SEC can’t do anything.”

They weren't involved, they weren't a named plaintiff or defendant.

Alledgedly, this actually happened when Sankey was on the stand...
quote:

Asked sankey about 91 basketball overseas pros who are allowed to play in ncaa.

Sankey said they played overseas for clubs and other things that may not specifically be professional leagues.

Sankey also said he does not know the definition of pro for those players

LSU fans can say whatever they want, but you've got to admit this start to Lane's time in Baton Rouge has been far less than ideal.

Its not worth pissing in the conference punch bowl over players who aren't moving the needle for you much at all.

Seems like they would have some evidence.

The Browns head coach said publicly Lane called him to talk about Wright BEFORE any of this started. Anyone that thinks they weren’t involved are beyond stupid

And then he later said Lane never called him...

ETA -
quote:

Cleveland Browns coach Todd Monken walked back earlier remarks suggesting that LSU's Lane Kiffin called him about Dae'Quan Wright, the latest twist in a bizarre transfer portal saga involving the former NFL tight end. Kiffin publicly denied the conversation happened, saying Monday there were "inaccuracies" in Monken's story and that he does not have his number or know him personally.

Monken initially claimed last week that Kiffin reached out regarding Wright's availability and possible return to college football. Now, Monken agrees that no such call took place, clearing up a claim that quickly generated headlines across the sport.

So pros are against SEC rules but the SEC commissioner can’t define what a pro is. What a good look
