But I really like Rendezvouz in Memphis. Those ribs!!!
I like their ribs too. They’re not technically BBQ though, as they’re cooked hot and fast with charcoal.

That’s why I always phrase the answer to the question “who makes your favorite barbecue” “after mine…”

Texas is probably the best, I like that they use beef and not pork. SC is great and underrated.
I lived in Georgia for years and was disappointed by every bbq place.
Kansas City BBQ is fantastic, probably the best in the nation, but it is in the corner of Missouri so I have to place you second.
Memphis is in the corner of 3 states, the rest of TN bbq is just average. Whereas Texas has great BBQ in every direction.

Vinegar based is the best for pulled pork.
I think North Alabama/Tennessee Valley could give any a run on the pit.
This area is my favorite bbq

Beef is the best form of BBQ and the best brisket and beef ribs are in Texas.
You’ll never find me turning my nose up at pork bbq though. It’s fantastic and isn’t far behind beef at all.

I could care less about the list. I know what my egg smoker does outside, and that’s the best I can find

Yeah, when it comes to BBQ with a sauce...that NC vinegar sauce just does it for me. If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be pulled pork sandwiches with a good vinegar sauce.

I just pour the juice from the pork butt pan into a fat separator , remove the fat, and use the remaining juice on the pulled pork. It's much better than vinegar.
