The SEC is home to some of the best rivalries in all of sports. Historic rivalries have shaped the SEC in becoming the most dominant college football conference.

The Iron Bowl

The Third Saturday In October

Worlds Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party

The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry

The big 6 has shaped this conference for sure. Bama, VOLS, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, LS….

LSU rivalries?

LSU doesn't have a natural in state rivalry and the bordering states have their own traditional rivalries
Ole Miss back in the Johnny Vaught days was big
They tried to manufacture a LSU Arkansas rivalry but it's rare that game has big stakes for both programs as Hogs haven't really been a factor in the sec or nationally
The Florida game has developed into a nice annual game
A&M had a little history prior to Aggies joining SEC but again, the stakes of that game have been much bigger for LSU as Aggies have yet to make a SEC title game

They've had better series with your "rivals" Bama and Florida than ya'll have had.

LSU is never gonna have a rival because they don't have another school in-state. That pretty much kills it right there and the others mentioned above have such deep roots that fans were raised on.

I think once Saban is gone from Bama LSU will develop some sort of rival with somebody in closer proximity but Saban being at Bama makes it their biggest game as of right now but in time LSU-Bama will be pretty uneventful like it was up until 2007.

Just how many times has LSU beat Bama in the past ten years?

Once. One time. Uno vez.

The LSU fan base considered A&M a rival but they won’t admit it out loud.

Doesn't have to be an in-state school to be a rivalry.

Many Alabama fans view Tennessee as the biggest rivalry.
Many Auburn fans view Georgia as the biggest rivalry.

Think it just takes a long history of good games and bit of hatred between the fans.

There's really no reason that LSU can't find a rival. Just may take a while.

Seems like LSU/aTm are trying to do that. May be one sided though.

LSU's rival is always just whoever is the #1 team in the SEC at the time.

Ole Miss during their prominence prior to integration

Tennessee back when they were relevant.

Florida during Meyer era.

Bama in more recent history.

This remains true even when they themselves are the #1 team in the SEC.

Not our fault Tulane stopped caring about sports and left the SEC

LSU/Florida have played each other every season since 1953 except for a brief gap between '68-'70 and have produced some amazing games. LSU/Ole Miss will be playing for the 110th time in a couple weeks and was a major deal back in the day. Just wish we could update that ugly arse Magnolia Bowl Trophy. LSU/Auburn have had some great games since becoming annual opponents. LSU/Aggie has some history before their move to the SEC though most of the games since they've joined probably haven't been that great to a neutral fan other than the 7OT game and last year's game.

I honestly hope once Texas and OU get here that we can go back to playing Arkansas on Black Friday. Sure that rivalry is "manufactured" as a lot of our fans want to say but most of the time the games have been fun, I've always enjoyed it personally.

I can't recall a time where we ever played them often enough to be a rival. They're in the same boat as UGA as it's always an anticipated matchup when we play, but we just don't play often enough. This weekend will only be the 34th game in the series
