Should the SEC be pushing for Jayden Daniels to win the Heisman? I mean, he is the QB of a charter member of the SEC, just thinking out loud.

Thank you for saying “Charter” member. With all these Bozos or Bevos and Boomers and Aggies joining they should not have the same clout as Charter Members for a period of time.

I don’t even like Mizzou and Arkansas in it.

I get what they’re doing and protecting themselves against the Big 18, but being a member of a Conference that helped build it to the dominant Conference that it is should mean something. We did all the work now these defunct Southwestern Conference schools roll in and want to fit in. Nah, they already wrecked two previous conferences.

How about A&M and South Carolina?

I’m not particularly a fan of Arkansas at all. I guess since SC is so far away, and they are technically in the Southeastern US, I’m not as upset although Clempson was once a Charter member.

Just thinking out loud, based on posts seen here, most would not be supportive of another SEC team Heisman candidate.

Maybe the commissioner of the SEC, but not the teams in the SEC. Because the Heisman winner will be JD5, which brings attention to LSU for recruits. I do not think coaches in the SEC will be pulling for JD5 and LSU just for that reason.

No they weren't.

Charter members were Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisiana State, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Sewanee, Tennessee, Tulane, and Vanderbilt. The ones in bold have left. Clemson has never been a member of the SEC.

An interesting side note, LSU and Ole Miss were invited to join the Southwest Conference before the formation of the SEC but declined.

I stand corrected. I get them and GA Tech mixed up from time to time. But you are right.

Jayden Daniels is going to win the Heisman this year. And all votes are in. So not sure what the SEC will accomplish by pushing for him to win the Heisman at this point.

Did you care when McFadden was snubbed twice? I didn’t think so…

The heisman is a joke.

He definitely should have won it over Tebow in 2007. But it is really hard for RB to win if their team isn't undefeated.

Wasn't Daniels a transfer? Not a knock, but it isn't like LSU developed him.

His first trip they said he didn’t get it because he was a sophomore and they didn’t give to underclassmen so they gave it to some dude who I can’t even recall his name.

The next trip they gave it to tebow, a sophomore. I’m not saying tebow was undeserving, but that the heisman is a complete joke and has been since they gave it to griffin twice. Pathetic.
