Miami 1988. - LSU had a decent team and the electricity was thick hanging in the air. You could feel it. Then the rain came! Not just rain but a monsoon. And we shite tge bed and get blown away.

Alabama 1987 - filmed Everybody’s All-American. During the game. The energy was off because of it. The rhythm was off and we lose.
I don’t know why but the movie was off to me. Maybe it was the mood I was in, but I never laughed the whole time.

It’s kinda like some people, like myself, love the Big Lebowski while others hate it. I think it’s just a you get it or not. And this wasn’t really a movie to get. But yea I agree with the OP cool take.

Everything you said is exactly what my son-in-law told me. I found CF Moto dealers in Monroe, DeRidder, Brookhaven, MS and Indianola, MS. I’m sure there’s plenty of others, but the parts availability was another chief concern.
And everything you’ve said about the Can Am’s I’ve heard before.

Hondas have by far the least maintenance issues out of any of them. They don’t give you enough power to break anything and design it to where you won’t enjoy using it, so the hours stay low.

That’s the funniest thing I’ve read so far.

I’ve had a Honda bike since 1983. I had an ‘84 125M traded for a ‘94 300; then traded for ‘00 Rancher; and then traded for a ‘10 Rancher that I still have. This last Rancher has been living inside my shop its whole life, and never ever been abused. But it has weird electrical issues, so I have to keep a battery maintainer on it or it won’t shift gears when I’m driving it.

I thought about getting another Honda but your choices now are either all automatic or foot shift, and they are nearly 10K. I have a tricked out lifted heavily modified Jeep that I only paid 11K for, and my Ranger I have almost 26K in it with all the upgrades and goodies. I just can’t justify it. But as for side by sides, when the Honda dealer points you towards the Polaris, you really have to listen.

I dig it. When we go to Muddy Bottoms or similar events, I start adding up how much “stupid money” is spent there. Lol
You’ll see some amazing builds.

Then there is a Honda driven by "Jr" he's a maniac continually pushes it past the limit always tearing things up. He can fix anything so it's part of the experience for him

That’s hilarious but so true. My son-in-law builds bikes. He has a Foreman, with bracket lifts, snorkeled, radiator relocate, 32”’s (I think)? My daughter has a Polaris 1000 Mud edition (something like that) with a clutch kit, bracket lift and I’m guessing 32”s. They literally go swimming with those things. Both are 2025 models and when they come back one or the other is broke. I’m like “why do yall tear those things up?” And the son-in-law’s reply is “Fixing them is the best part”.
I’m too old for all that. I just like watching and be on the other side of the big holes with the winch when they surrender. That fixing stuff gets expensive. I like to turn key and go.

No mention of Kawasaki?

I forgot to say that the reason I didn’t get a Kawasaki. My Dad had an old Mule and I had NO features. No power steering, no nothing, including no power. He had tons of electrical issues particularly because there was no keyed bus panel on it. Mounting a winch and light bar were also problematic and required some welding fabrication to make that happen. Now his was bottom of the line model so I can’t blame the manufacturer. It was definitely a work horse tipping out at 26 mph. But he took it to Mena with us and and went everywhere everyone else went. I was shocked. He too upgraded to the Ranger 1000 (non XP).

The Can Am dealership sells some Kawasaki’s and I looked at one similar to what I wanted then when I was shopping, but they were steering me to Can Ams and CF Motos. For some reason, I just didn’t get a warm fuzzy about it. They just seemed like they were a side note. Another dealer had Kawasaki’s but they were primarily a Honda dealer and they kept steering me to a Pioneer.

Having said all that when I go to these mud events (basically babysitting and spectating while the kids go swimming with their bikes) I see only a handful of Kawasakis. Considering how tough they are, that surprises me. I’m glad you like yours.

I checked out the link. Honestly, I’ve never even heard of that brand. My son-in-law and daughter are into all the big mud events, I’ll ask him about them. Looks about like all the other brands. I’d lie to see one.

UTV Brand comparisons

Last Fall I bought a Polaris Ranger 1000 XP. I love it. I added a whole bunch of accessories and it’s super nice. I personally installed apple carplay, sound bar, I can put OnX on the screen, etc. they come stock with a winch, I installed a light bar, windshield, steel doors, etc. I have no issue with it. I didn’t lift lift, just put 30” Zilla’s for mud and I use the bone stock tires for Summer / non-muddy applications. I use it more for working on the farm, but occasionally I’ll go hit the mud parks with the kids and grands (not like they do).

When I was shopping, I looked long and hard at the CF Moto UForce 10 which has a bunch of nice features but I was afraid of the brand. I was more comfortable with the Polaris. Plus my son-in-law is a certified Polaris & Honda mechanic.

I did look at the Honda Pioneers but I was concerned that if you broke something you had to pull the motor vs change a belt.

I also looked at Can Ams but it seems like the trend is to either be all in on them or shy away from them. Most of the folks I know avoid them and don’t recommend. I know others that is all they ride. No one not even the salesman could explain why I’d want to buy one.

In the end, for me it boiled down to Polaris vs CF Moto vs Can Am. So I went with the easiest fix for me. Polaris.

Since then, everyone I know are now grabbing those CF Moto Uforce 10’s. They are everywhere. They’re priced cheap too. But are they? I don’t know.

I was just curious about peoples opinions about the different brands and why they like one over another. Just curious. Not trying to start fights I’m just asking. I’ve already made my bed, and I’m happy. Peace out.

Which is a drag because I like chrome.

Man to each his own. My Dad has had 3 Silverados since 2021. Lifter issues yet he keeps going back to them. He’s 82 but he despises chrome which is why he got the RST packages. So he’s the exception to the rule, and I seriously doubt you’re 80, so I suspect you’re that exception also. That’s why they make all kinds. Cheers

Side note: I was a Chevy/GMC guy for over 30 years. Still own a Camaro SS and my wife wants one of those new Tahoe’s (or a Bronco). But what killed me on gen trucks was my last Silverado had that 5.3. In fairness I traded a Sierra 2500 6.0 gas burner for it, so I was expecting a little less oomph. But I’d had dozens of 350’s and even had a little Sierra 1500 with the little 4.8 and it was wicked fast. But that 5.3 was such a dog with throttle lag, lack of power, handling, etc. honestly I didn’t see the big whoop about them. Apparently it was some Eco 5.3 that was unbeknownst to me.

However, when I drove my first F150 with the Coyote all blacked out, I just haven’t really been back since. I’ll give the ‘27’s a ride before I pass judgment. Everyone has their own experience, and opinions. That’s what makes the world go round. Cheers!
Refresh my memory. Who’s this Brian Kelly fellow again?

What exactly do you mean? New trucks coming out of Detroit all look similar. And there is minimal difference between GM/Chevy.

Most of the Chevys I see have color-matched grills, very little if any chrome (unless you get the old man LTZ package) black rims, lift kits /leveling kits BFG’s etc. Chevy has the Trail Boss package which is what 1/2 of the ones I see are.
GMC’s don’t have any of that. All their grills are old man chrome, loaded out, automatic drop down steps, that funny tailgate with all the flips and flops. The interior is nice. Don’t get me wrong they’re nice trucks they just don’t have a cool factor about them. Way way way too much chrome.
I remember when GMC’s were way better looking than Chevys from the grill and that’s all I drove for a long time. But I have to admit GMC went to the paw-paw old man look with all that chrome and old man styling. I’m surprised it doesn’t come with double step ups. Ironically they load up the interior with stuff no 80 year old will have a clue how to operate.
The poor salesman will get inundated with phone calls from their old customers “I can’t get my 40’s channel on the Xm or my grandkid hooked her phone up to the stupid thing and now mine won’t work. Or how do I get my map on that screen again? Yep those poor bastards at GMC have really done something great. lol.

I’m still sticking with Ford.
With most offices that have VOIP phones, you can download that app and let your cell serve as your desk/work phone. That way incoming and outgoing calls are on your company’s number along with texts etc. After you’re off the clock you click DND and problem is solved. No need to tote two phones.
Yeah I know their names I just don’t waste time learning them or their spelling. Black red whatever I know what team is what. It’s Been a minute since I saw season 2 so I can’t remember all that shite.
I loved GOT but HOD is t as good in my opinion. But also I watched GOT after all the seasons aired which made it make more sense without years between seasons.

You had to pay attention to season two and listen to the dialogue in this episode to get it.

Yeah I did but they both fricking died. The Lannister dude and the bitchfist person.

quote:

Because she thought she had control of him. She obviously did not know he was a wild card in a battle. Pretty simple.

Right so she was fricking stupid. Which is my point.

quote:

Again, you had to listen to the dialogue.

Yeah I did. He was scared for his Mom. But last I checked the fricking Queen outranks a bastard son.

quote:

You're definitely not paying attention, there is no red team.

You’re obviously not watching the same show. Because the folks at Kings Landing and the one eyed dude is on team Green. The Queen at Dragonstone or wherever is on the red team. That seasnake dude was from somewhere else and he was black sails but he’s fighting for Team Red.
And apparently they lost.

Naval battles were so close up I couldn’t tell which team was whipping who. Then the whole crap with seasnake and bitchfist and for what was all that about?

Then the girl huffing and puffing and moaning and griping and saying “no Sheepstealer no” over. And. Over. Got irrationally annoying. Like why did she bring an untrained dragon to a fight who destroyed like both sides?

And then there was the dark haired prince dude (sorry I’m terrible with names. GOT taught me not to care about characters since they all die ) locked his Mom in her castle? By what authority? And then he goes and gets his dragon and himself killed. Way to go kid. Your plans were stupid every single time you dumb little bastard.

I think it’s way harder to film naval battles and be able to see anything. It seems however that the red team lost bigly at that battle.

And that was just the first episode.

I swear if Carter shows up drunk and throws a bulls head off the wall at the Cattleman’s Ball, I’m done. But I think at this point the Red Queen could use a Rip right now. (Sorry Dutton Ranch bled into review. Still pissed off about both episodes I suppose).
Any JBL above 5th Gen will allow you to play multiple JBL 5th Gen or above in sync so it’s awesome for parties or tailgates or stuff.

JBL Flips are awesome portable and fairly indestructible.

JBL Boombox has amazing sound and loudness that I think surpasses Turtlebox in outdoor settings.
