Mateer is too low and Simmons is a bit high. He has a high ceiling but dude would get so geeked up at the beginning of games he would try to Brett Favre passes between double and triple coverage. Once he settled down and saw the field, he was good. If Drink can get him to start games settled then he will be really good.

Subjective rankings are subjective. That list will be turned on its head at the end of year.

English is hard.

Mateer at 5, Leavitt at 6, Simmons at 7. I'd put Reed ahead of Arch at this point too I think.

Kamario Taylor has the chance to turn some heads. He's a talented guy but the team around him sucks.

Is there something I missed? Why wouldn't he be able to play? (or is this a reference to his injury history)?

I get why Sellers is low, and some of it is deserved. That Oline did him dirty.

If Briles and the Oline can get him back to producing like he did his freshman year he will be way higher on this list. Potential wise he is top 3

BB being behind 2 complete unknowns after a 3k/1k season is certainly a choice.

Is this a projection?

Sellers is the best pure QB on the list and projects to the NFL better than anyone else on there.

I'd argue the truth is the exact opposite. Best ceiling, but lacking in the "pure qb" category and NFL projection has high variance

Not sure how you are defining “Pure QB” but I can assure you it’s not in the traditional form.

Pure QB’s sit back and just dissect defenses like Dan Marino.

Sellers is more of a dual threat guy.

Sellers' short and intermediate passing game needs so much work. I won't say he won't be a 1st round pick because the NFL is weird as shite and ARich and JJ McCarthy have gone in the 1st round recently but he's still riding the hype of a couple of games from 2024 in which, yes he looked great. But there's a larger body of work outside of those that you have to take into consideration too.

Briles is a great system for him but playing in that system will work against his draft stock. He would benefit from Jaxson Dart going off this year to show that QBs from that system can translate.
