Spencer Rattler looked terrible and lost in one of the most high-powered offenses in the country.

Kind of reminds me of Kelly Bryant and Clemson.

If he sucks at Oklahoma, I can almost guarantee he won't be good at USCe

I am going to disagree here in regards to Rattler. His downfall was Riley who is not the QB expert many want to give him credit for.

Stoops developed the offense at OU that Riley ran. Stoops also recruited Mayfield and Murray while Hurts was developed under Saban before transferring into to OU. All 3 plug and play type for a system that supported their play style.

Rattler was the 1st QB Riley truly recruited and developed himself and looked how that turned out. C Williams did replace Rattler but Williams was not that great down the stretch against the few good teams they played.

I am not sure USC can fully compliment a system and/or provide a supporting cast for Rattler to be successful in the end.

I do actually think Rodgers, rattler and hooker are really good QB's, they would be my number 3-5 in in that order.

What are you guy's thoughts on Myles Brennan returning for a 6th year? I honestly don't know if he'll be great or awful, but the experience and seniority should help a lot.

Spencer Rattler had a 75% completion percentage in the year he got benched. the 5 INT's were not good, but 11 TD's is still 2 to 1. yall act like he was garbage. Kelly Bryant on the other hand couldnt throw.

All surrounded by the best talent in the nation. How did he do the last 4 games of the season?

The games that included injuries to his top 2 WRs, two of the 4 with his main RB hobbled, and one where the offense didn't bother with a lot of throws because it was easy to run on them once the starting RB was back?

Look, it's okay to say you don't understand football. Lots of people on here don't know much about the sport.

Wow, it's almost like you didn't even bother to read what I wrote, and then made my argument for me while not realizing the entire point:

quote:

He faded down the stretch when his side of the ball wasn't just overwhelmingly more talented than the opponent side due to injuries. He played with more comparable OL and WR's that others have.

So yep - the entire point is when he didn't have vastly superior talent at every position all around him, his stats suddenly went back down to earth.

I think Brennan has a lot of upside, likely the most upside of any of the options LSU had on the table the day Brian Kelly was hired.

But, he has to prove it to gain respect. He hasn't been able to stay healthy enough to do so.

He does provide some seniority stability to a roster that will have an almost universal turnover. That's got to help the Tigers.

If this is your take on it, which is not necessarily wrong, then you have to say the same thing about Corral

9 TD's
4 INT's
-14 rushing yards
1,558 passing yards
103/180 = 57.2% completion

He faded down the stretch when his side of the ball wasn't just overwhelmingly more talented than the opponent side due to injuries. He played with more comparable OL and WR's that others have.

This isn't to say the kid isn't a very good QB - he is. But, he's certainly not the best in the conference. He just happens to play on a team that has had vastly superior talent over just about everyone in the nation.

How did your No. 1 for next year look against Georgia? LOL.

It's not only talent - it's experience.
A SR at WR can do things that a more talented freshman can do.

Not to mention State returns our Rbs, all but one WR and lose only 1 starting OL

Way OT, but this reminded me. What ever happened to that State WR that got hurt in the auto accident just after the season? I don't recall ever hearing an update after the initial report.
