I’d almost be willing to bet that Tua ends up with a higher percentage here by the end of the year.

Burrow destroys them both on throws over 20 yards.
Yes.

In 5 games this year he is better.

they are finally running an offense the rest of college football has been running for the past 15 years
I thought this too until I watched mich-iowa last weekend. Holy cow those offenses reminded me of les miles. Painful to watch. Nate Stanley isn't running read option. ??

instead of typing this, why don't you just say you're ignorant. Because there are plenty of videos with analysis of how great burrow has been this year.

I can't recall the last time I saw bama fans this defensive. It's so unnecessary too. Bama is killing it again this year but they are so threatened that a qb would dare to possibly be as good as their precious darling star

Holy cherry picking Batman

never thought i'd be tacking up for Buckeye, but this is a pretty commonly used stat for showing deep ball accuracy.

what cherry picked?

Posting a stat with so many qualifiers just makes people laugh at you. Joe's numbers are Heisman great, you guys don't have to cherry pick them, fool

It's literally one qualifier, completion % of passes with 20 or more air yards.

Joe's deep ball has been incredible so far this year and his receivers have been really damn good at going up and getting it.

I'm interested to see how they do this weekend against NFL level corners and pass rush. Should be fun to watch.

See that, he added that to pad the stats, it is called cherry picking, if Joe has the highest completion of 20+ yard plays, then there would be no need to take away yac.

but that's a different qualifier.

Completion % on 20-yard pass plays is a different qualifier than completion % when the ball is thrown 20-yards or more from the line of scrimmage.

The point is to show accuracy on deep balls thrown 20 yards or more. Thus the removal of YAC so e.g. WR screens and 5 yard slants aren’t included.

I don’t understand why this is so hard to grasp.

You could say Tua completes more passes for 20 yds or less for touchdowns.

And how many of those 20 yds or more passes that Burrow completed went for touchdowns?

Fromm needs even more qualifiers to look good.

Just about every throw downfield hits the receivers hands. Fromm gets killed by drops, good defensive plays/coverage , and penalties on these throws. I'm sure every QB can say the same thing. But Fromm's adjusted completion percentage should be up there with the best on the list. It is rare for a throw not to hit the WRs hands.

Starting to think the OP is actually Joe Burrow sucking himself off with all these post.

Refuse to believe a grown man is this infatuated with a college QB.

its only cherry picking if he doesn't look good in all aspect, but be leads the league in completion % at any distance and leads the league in Yards per game

him and Tua have about a .1 yard per attempt difference.

And It is clear that when throwing the deep ball, Burrow is completing passes as a much higher percentage. which is impressive.
