See that, he added that to pad the stats, it is called cherry picking, if Joe has the highest completion of 20+ yard plays, then there would be no need to take away yac.

Do you really have no idea how air yards work?
Everyone’s completion percentage is 100% on pass plays that go for 20+ yards (YAC included). However, that is not the same as completion % on passes traveling 20+ yards through the air.
YAC has ZERO bearing on completion percentage. In fact, without a completion, there is 0 YAC.
OP should have never even mentioned YAC in the post when talking about air yards. Most casual fans understand YAC is not counted in the air yard total.
It’s like saying “total offensive drives that ended in a touchdown... no 3 and out punts included.”

Dammit, I wanted him to post a few more times about it before someone explained it to him.

SEC QB Leaders - Passing Percentage of Passes in the Air 20+ Yards (No Yards after catch included) (10+ attempts)
Burrow - 63.16%
Guarantano - 46.15%
Tua - 42.86%
Nix - 40.63%
Bryant - 40%
Fromm - 29.41%
Plumlee - 33.33%
Stevens - 30%
Starkel - 28.57%
Mond - 26.67%

That list and the link really illustrate how misleading numbers can be at times. Guarantano comes in at #2 and no longer has a starting job. Maurer comes in dead last (or close to it) and is now the starter. After 1 game starting Maurer has accumulated 303 yards on the year whereas JG who has started every game prior to last week has 750 on the entire season.
