Les miles and ed o
Les Miles: Won 77% of games, won a Natty, played for another.
Ed Orgeron: Won 71% of games, and while that isn't where we want to be, 75% of SEC teams would have liked to have had that record last year.
I get that O hasn't brought us where we want to be, but if you think Les Miles was a bad hire, you are stupid as a brick.

Dennis Franchione, Mike Price, and Mike Shula say hi! Don't forget Mike Dubose was still there in 2000 and Rich Rod turned down Bama before Saban got hired, if Bama doesn't get Saban then they would easily top the list.

Always wondered by Muschamp did that. Did he feel sorry for him?
Foley wanted WM to bring in an experienced OC since he was a first time head coach.
The thing everyone forgets about that year is that it was working out pretty well until Alabama went Ivan Drago on John Brantley. If Weis had stayed on instead of stupidly taking the Kansas job, we would have started Jacoby Brissett (CW's hand picked QB recruit) the next 3-4 years and almost certainly have resurrected the offense.

He admitted he's still mad about UF beating that arse in 09.

The thing everyone forgets
I think a lot of people only remember HC Charlie Weis at ND and Kansas and fail to remember OC Charlie Weis at the Jets, Pats and Chiefs. His last OC gig before the Swamp got him 3 SB rings.

Texas A&M takes the cake with paying that broken man seven and a half million a year for 10 years, that man Jimbo is on the verge of a mental breakdown

Bert was a homerun at the time
Bert would still be a solid double or even triple in the Midwest. He just could not adjust to the speed of the SEC. Or the need to have a coaching staff with deep ties to the South and Texas.
Even if he doesn't win a lot of games at Arkansas Morris is an upgrade in that he is at least rebuilding the many bridges Bielema and company burned to the ground with HS coaches in Arkansas and Texas.

And still have won 12 of 13 against the Vols.
And 25 of last 32

And 25 of last 32

Nah, we are mostly over that with the spectacle of a bad Bert team skull dragging Florida a little while ago. Our worst head coach to last longer then three seasons whipped you. I think we can let up on disliking Florida.

I'll go with the one who hired Derek Dooley and Butch "brick by brick" Jones
And it isn't even close.
Kiffen- didn't want to be there so bad he left in a year. Who was the last coach to leave a top Power 5 program after just one year?
Dooley- Maybe the worst hire in SEC history. The only thing that was impressive on this resume was his last name.
Butch- not a bad hire on paper, but as a coach lost to Dooley.
Then there was that whole clusterfrick of a hiring process where they almost ended up with some coaches with great resumes (Greg Schiano, Mike Leach) and instead got a guy with no real head coaching experience that everyone says is a meathead idiot that is only good at recruiting because his mental level is equivelent to 18 year old boys.
It is shocking how badly they have done with hires. Like if you tried it couldn't be worse.

Holy shite. I thought we were the only ones victimized that badly when it comes to refs and Florida.

I would gladly watch all of those hires unfold again if it meant I got to watch 2 national title teams and Tim Tebow for 4 years. Mean while you watched McFadden, Jones, and Hillis, lose to the heart attack coach.
