If they re-polled, LSU would be in the 7-11 range. Some movement, but maybe not as much as many LSU fans would think.
All this still has to come together on the court because absolutely none of these guys have played ball with each other before this season.
Granted, just about every SEC team is fielding more transfers that have to find the rhythm, but I feel by season's end LSU will far outperform what most media and other teams' fanbases would like.
They may not win the SEC Tournament this year, but they'll be in the NCAA Tournament. Maybe they will win a 1st round game, and maybe not. But what I do know is that even just an appearance in the 1st round is a big improvement over what LSU has been since Wade left.

Wrong. LSU won the men's national title in 1935.
According to historical records, LSU’s men’s basketball team, coached by Harry Rabenhorst, went 14–1 overall and 12–0 in SEC play during the 1934–35 season The team’s national title claim came from winning a single-game “Rose Bowl” tournament on April 13, 1935, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, sponsored by the American Legion LSU defeated Pittsburgh 41–37 to be declared the “national collegiate basketball champion” for that season

Which no one will acknowledge. Just as it is in football for 1908, 1936, 1962, etc etc

We have the starting PG and SG from the 2nd round NCAA tourney UCLA team last year. Both 5th year players.
We have a 22 year old former 2nd round pick SF who won most improved player in an overseas league from last year.
We have a 7 foot / 250 pound center 23 year old center who will be a top center in college basketball this year.
And none of them aren't NBA caliber players. Bunch of nobodys
Enjoy the NIT next year.

Definitely not above Georgia because Mike White owns Will Wade.

I think State will be improved. Probably similar to Jans’ first 2-3 teams here.
They whiffed majorly on some portal evaluations last year and it was basically Hubbard and 11 Sun Belt caliber dudes. I think they have a more talented and better balanced roster this year. I think they can be a back end of the tourney team.

LSU can certainly be a fringe top 25 team with this roster. Not sure where that puts us in the SEC Rankings.

Arkansas has four seven footers and two at 6-11

How embarrassing. Pope has a lot to prove this year or he won't get a 4th.
I think Pope has already proven what he is. Some are just embarrassed to admit it.

Watch out, they hang a banner for their 1935 Campbell's Soup basketball title.

Already want the new AD Batt to try his hand at a new coach. Open to Pope doing something this season and surprising me, but firmly believe he is not the guy.
