So let’s say TexAm, UGA, OM, and Bama win out.. which is most likely.

SECCG , you have #3 Aggies and #10 Bama(just a guess ranking)
#4 UGA and #5 Ole Miss at home waiting. Bama wins the conf; How likely do we see Bama and AM hosting 1st round with both UGA and OM with byes? Or does Bama get a big enough jump to #4??

Aggies before you fall off a cliff. I’m not saying Bama will win, I’m saying what if? Don’t act like it can’t happen. Atlanta will be a home field for Bama.

Just for shits and giggles, lets have A&M coming into Atlanta undefeated. That A&M fan base that has been waiting their entire lives to be undefeated and are now within a breath of not only winning an SEC championship but getting a top seed and a realistic shot at their first CFB national championship since before WW2…

That A&M… And you think ATL would be basically a home game for Bama???

If we lose to Bama in the championship game I will be extremely pleased with how the regular season went and looking forward to the playoffs.

And also not looking forward to the “lolz Aggy lost to the only good team they played” comments.

If A&M goes 12-0 and loses in Atlanta, the likelihood of Ole Miss AND Georgia passing A&M is 0%

Not like 80%, but it’ll be 65%. People think only UGA fans in Atlanta area. It’s so freaking diverse with college fans. So many Bama fans local. They fill it up for sure.

You maybe right. Texas only fell 1 spot last year when they lost to UGA. That was OT game though. It might be different if you lose by double digits. Idk.

You don’t seem to get true Aggie fan. They are ready to fricking explode. It’s not hyperbole, I know these people. They have been waiting for this moment for their entire lives.

Money is no object, this is EVERYTHING they have ever dreamed of. It’s here, they are coming.

I’m really curious actually because this year the byes don’t automatically go to conference champions. So ranking them 3 and 4 last year would be like ranking them 5-6 this year.

Not saying the committee changes its behavior but I think they might. Especially if the championship game includes a team outside the top 4.

They fail to grasp how far the cult will go when properly motivated. Good luck Bama or whoever else not named OU if we loose to them.

Agree. In such a case Georgia and Aggy would have a loss to the same team but Aggy would have an extra win. They get the nod. Ol Man as isn't Jesus mping Georgia in that scenario because head to head. If A&M wins I could see Georgia with a BYE though...but honestly I think they'd be better off hosting than having 2 weeks off

If we win out the regular season and lose the SECG, I think we would still be number 4.

Caveat. If we got absolutely blasted by bama, then we would fall further.

I believe aTm has a lot more money than Tenner fans. They just happened to be 20,000to 30,000 in Columbus last winter and they went home sad and cold. I think aTm oil money would override anything Tennessee fans had and it’ll be nice and warm in the dome. They comin, baws

I don’t think if A&M runs through the regular season undefeated but loses in Atlanta we lose the bye.

That championship game would become a negative in all respects.

I get it.. but it’s the SECCG. Each school gets just over 16k. The rest is sponsorship and PSLs. Did you go last year?? Wasn’t it like 70% UGA? When we play Bama for the SEC it’s usually 50/50. Will AM bring more than Tex last year?

I’m just going off past experience with this board and even alluding to a team getting upset.

YES! YES!!! A thousand times YES.

I cannot emphasize enough how much this means to A&M fan. This is IT.

They are Texans, they have every bit of a football ego as any Longhorn. They have been absolutely repressed and beaten down, laughed at, called little brother.. For GENERATIONS!

This is their moment. They are coming.

SEC, you have been warned. The seal is about to be broken on a bottle that should never be opened.

The 1 loss SEC teams would be ranked ahead of alabama and get the BYEs. The conference championship is irrelevant from a seeding standpoint now. They changed the rules from last season.

It would be a home game for alabama or Georgia. You underestimate the power of it being within easy driving distance of those schools.

Essentially, redneck bama fans meet redneck A&M fans with bank accounts.
