I believe it was Joe Kines that made the statement that Prince was a couple of biscuits away from being a nose tackle

Nickolas Brassell (2011). Dude look like a future All SEC player his freshman year on an outright abysmal Ole Miss team. He played WR, DB, and KR. He wasn't able to focus on grades, and ended up not qualifying after his freshman year. He went to a JUCO for one season, and was expecting to return, but he didn't take enough hours to qualify to return. I'm not sure what he ended up doing afterwards.

I would agree except he did rush for about 1300 yards his senior season. Played on 5 different seasons. Years 2-4 didn’t live up to his billing.

He at least made it on the field. Seems like a lot of talent never even saw the field due to various personal issues during the Orgeron - Nutt timeframe.

Denzel Nkemdiche was a stud as a freshman.
82 tackles, 3 sacks, 3 forced fumbles 3 interceptions

His three years after freshman season totaled
116 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble.

Probably having more kids. I believe he had two before his senior year and a third was on the way as an incoming freshman.

Now list his junior year stats. Fromm never lived up to his freshman year hype. No other arguments accepted.

Except that’s not at all what the thread says. This is for players who had good freshman years and then had no good years after that.

You mean the year he lost his Top 6 pass catchers and had the worst OC in history?

The first two guys I thought of. Strange that they were mentioned in back to back posts.

Won the MVP of the national championship game. Couldn't handle the notoriety.

Stan White at AU.

Looked great as a true freshman in an era when true freshman never saw the field, especially at QB. But he never seemed to improve, just stayed T the same level. He did have the undefeated season his senior year but that was mostly due to a great supporting clasd.

For 5 years? He didn’t have to block at Cal. He doesn’t block like Kirby wants and hasn’t in the 4 seasons to date at UGA. We can use the injury excuse but the reality is that he’s got other priorities more important to him than football. His best year was freshman year
