IF LSU loses, over players likely just adding depth, they won't be kicked out.
What might happen is the penalties will be severe and keep them from competiing for a few years. In that case, they may leave on their own. Probably not a wise decision in the long run. Ask Georgia Tech about that.
No way the AD and Prez really wanted this. Kind of shows how much power the HC of football has these days.

They better kick Ole Miss out too. Chambliss started the trend of a player being ruled ineligible and then suing the SEC / NCAA to get a court ruling that allowed him to play.
