Nah, they won't want to associate the event with an NFL franchise.

My guess would be one of the bigger hotels in the Stonebriar area.

It's not about distence, it's about branding.

SEC media days is all about the SEC brand.

The Star is literally synonymous with the Dallas Cowboys brand.

SEC wouldn't want to muddy the waters of their own brand by holding one of their premier branding events in another premier brand's facilities.

If its in Frisco like I heard it will be, if any of you out of towners show up, you will really like the area, there's lot to do.

Frisco is a fun place to spend 2-3 days...I did a bunch of work at a Vendor's place in Lewiston several years ago and always made a point to go to Frisco at least once...lots to do. Lewiston wouldn't be a bad place to live. Its a little generic for me but most people like that...

Frisco is pretty much my backyard, and I have never heard of Lewiston.

I don’t know how they select sites, but I think each SEC state should be able to submit a site and plan to the SEC for this event if they want to host it. It brings revenue into local economies. This is an event which is easy to move around and share the wealth.

@RossDellenger
In his address at media days, Greg Sankey announces that the 2024 SEC football media days will be held in Dallas at the Omni hotel in downtown. (July 15-18, 2024).

——-

2024 MLB All-Star Game will be played July 16 in nearby Arlington. Dallas metro will be hoppin' that week.

Surprising choice IMO. Nice property, but it's surprisingly isolated for a downtown hotel. It's in a woerd place, kinda hard to get to, and not a whole lot right nearby. On second thought maybe the self contained aspect is a positive in their eyes.

Sure! Just give us time.
I kid… I don’t care where it is held at. Just glad to be in the conference.
