Thanks for information without the partisan sniping and snide remarks.

Auburn with three Heisman winners have had some turly great players come through their school. If I remember correctly, when Pat Sullivan won his...wasn't Terry Beasley a consideration, too?

Just looked it up, and apparently not. I just remember Beasley being one of my favorite players. Great receiver.

All hail the clear big 2 in the SEC and appreciate the greatness of the 3rd Saturday in October.

These posts always make me wonder about Tennessee. What is their problem? Top three in almost every category and it's been 10+ years since they were a serious factor in the SEC.

Slice it and dice it any way you want. What Alabama has done in football is fricking incredible.

It must suck to spend your life crying about asterisks in college football results. I'm glad LSU fans don't have to worry about these distinctions born of cheating.

Here are the facts according to the official NCAA record:

#5. Alabama
All-time record: 905-329-43
Win percentage: .726
First season: 1892

record - 69 (40-26-3)

Miss.
bowls - 37
record - 36 (23-13)

'm sorry your team is a lower tier, backwater, second best for it's whole existence type of program.

That isn't the fault of the team with the best winning percentage in the nation, now is it?

Auburn just needs to be more auTastic and auDominating more of the time.

Melt, pussy.

Two things:

1. It’s shameful that Alabama isn’t ranked number one in some categories. We really need to up our game.

2. I can remember a time, many moons ago, when it did not seem outside the realm of possibility that Tennessee could overtake Alabama in overall history, or at least join them as a co-number one, if they kept winning at the pace they were on and Alabama didn’t manage to recover some level of football prowess. Now the gulf between them is effectively unbridgeable, and Tennessee's status as the clear second in the conference all-time is itself in jeopardy. How times change.

Auburn could claim up to 4 more from the pre-poll era that would be just as legit as any of theirs

Technically Alabama could claim about 30

They have an overall ranking. It's unfortunate they changed national titles from recognized to claimed.

2. Alabama
9. Tennessee
10. Georgia, LSU
13. Florida
15. Auburn
17. Texas A&M
28. Arkansas
34. Ole Miss
39. Missouri
60. Kentucky
62. Mississippi State
63. South Carolina
75. Vanderbilt

LINK

It's silly that Penn State is penalized for not being in a conference until 93.

Yeah LSU, UGA, and Florida are all quickly catching up. If they don’t turn it around soon they will be caught in most or all metrics in the next 5-10 years.

LSU has already passed them in weeks ranked and weeks as #1, which would have been almost unthinkable 20 years ago.

It’s crazy how LSU and UGA are almost identical after 125 years of football
