What would it bring to the league. We have already played this game before.

I'd rather contract and ship A&M and Missouri back to the Big 12.

No problem. Just send back all the money our presence put in your program’s pockets.

No problem. you certainly didnt add championships or stellar representation in OOC games.

LSU and Bama cherry picked what they wanted for years from Texas before the merger ever happened, and have continued to do so.

You think absent Arkansas playing a big Texas school annually they will recruit Texas the same or better bc they are SEC? I think they will struggle a bit, I don’t think LSU will struggle bc LSU has Louisiana locked down, they need a handful of national guys they can cherry pick, but Arkansas has to go out of state to get most its roster most years

Mond had to play Clemson twice lol he played the #1 ranked school like 3 times in one year his junior year? Who did you guys play ooc those years?

not sure when Monds junior year was but LSUs recently beat Texas, Oklahoma, Clemson, UCF, and Miami.

LSU beat 7 ranked teams in 2019, including the preseason top 4. Having to face ranked teams and beat them is important so not sure why youre pointing out your team doesnt hold up in big games.

i get it, adding A&M got a few more TVs in Texas to tune in to SEC games, but lets be clear, we didnt need you to recruit Texas better

Would rather move Mizzou to the West and add a NC and VA team.

SOUTHEASTERN Conference

Not “add in Texas and Oklahoma teams” conference

LSU and Bama no, but a lot of teams that aren’t as blessed with football rich states, they do need to recruit well out of state, it costs money to recruit out of state, like Arizona prospects, Texas A&M and Texas has been able to get good players out of that state, Christian Kirk and Texas got a home run with their RB, can Arkansas go to states like that and pull them too? Arizona kids see more Texas schools on TV, it’s easier by default IMO

Now LSU is different, you guys have that state locked down and just need a handful of out of state guys, it maybe a waste of time for LSU to try and recruit west past Texas

of course not. arkansas doesnt have a rich history of anything besides impressive losing streaks. same with ole miss, miss st, basically any team in the west that hasnt played for a natty in the past 20 years. adding A&M didnt help those teams recruit Texas any better.

the point im making here, which i think you understand, is that adding A&M didnt help the SEC recruit Texas better. It helped A&M recruit Texas better, giving them an edge in resources and pedigree the big 12 just didnt have.

in other words, i get why its good for you, but not for the rest of us (at least when it comes to recruiting).

I don't want it any tougher. The SEC West should add Prairie View and Central Arkansas.

I never understood Why Missouri and Texas A&M were added.

Why are Florida State and Miami not in SEC. can’t get much more southeast than they are.

Comes down to money, viewers, etc. OP trying to get rid of A&M, my point is you lose viewers with a Baylor or TCU vs an A&M or Texas, if LSU went to the Big 10 and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns went SEC, Louisiana will follow the Big 10, that would become a Big 10 state, the alumni base is to small the Cajuns, if you follow my point

I mean just living here in Texas, most average people follow the SEC via A&M, and the big name ranked teams, but know the Big 12 better, you pretty much need to follow both conferences here to be current

Maybe it’s the southern education, but many of you seem incapable to understand what drove expansion last time and what will drive expansion next time. $$$$$$

With the addition of of Texas & Missouri, you 35 million people to your conference footprint. That equals TV sets. The conference doesn’t give a crap what Missouri or aTm do in athletics.

There are 3 programs that actually drag the conference revenue down: Vanderbilt, MS State, and Auburn. All place second fiddle to a more popular program in the state. None of these programs bring addition TV sets to the conference.

This is just a simple fact as long as the tradition cable model is around. And it is. Even with streaming, it follows a similar plan.

we could have added a nc/va school and aggy and been much better off.

northern-elite-education shitposting does not make the sec adding Mizz any less embarrassing. akin to the big10 adding rutgers and maryland; the sec big six didn't feel like adding another football school to help with the national championships.

but back to real football.

they need to eliminate the big12 and make 4 super leagues of sixteen teams.

SEC gets 'TU', OU and Okst
ACC gets nd and wvu
Big10 gets mizz, ksu and kan
pac16 gets aggy/bay/tt/tcu
