SEC expansion question for Mizzou fans

Assuming the rumored scheduling model with 3 constant opponents is what gets passed once Texas and Oklahoma join, who would you want to be your 3?

I know you had a longtime series with Oklahoma and the SEC has tried to set you and Arkansas up on a blind date, but who else would you pick?

And I mean from the standpoint of teams closest to being considered “rivals”. Not looking for the “3 Vandy’s” answer.

Arkansas, South Carolina, Texas

I have no interest in playing Oklahoma. We‘ve been playing SECE schools for 10 years so I’m not particularly interested in getting ripped away from them. I like playing Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Florida

But playing Texas or Texas A&M every year may help with recruiting in that region

I’d be more than willing to consider 3 Vandy’s rivals though.

I like this one too; I like the fans of CoMo south.

Carolina - We've got a nice rivalry going with them and our games are usually entertaining
Texas - I think everyone here has seen evidence of their dildo-delusions. They are a horrible breed, and any chance to beat their arse is welcome. (I'm sure this will bring out the laughing emojis from the dildo queen himself)
Oklahoma - We've got history, and although it's been nice having the gimme win waiting at the end of the schedule in the form of a pig, it's time to move on to more of a challenge.

Interesting to see the Mizzou folks include USC in their trio. It's been a very entertaining, if not MFing frustrating at times, series over the years.

Oklahoma- never a rivalry due to OU dominating the record, but there is too much history between the two to ignore.

Florida - purely personal as my in-laws are Florida alums and we attend the games together.

SC - always an exciting game probably the closest we've come to a SEC rival.

The last two are obviously never going to happen because of proximity.

re: SEC expansion question for Mizzou fans
It never made sense to me that we didn't play flagships in states next to us, so any of Tenn, Ark, and Kentucky would be nice. We have history with Oklahoma. We recruit Texas, and I do get sick of their braggadocio; so beating Texas feels like 2 wins.
We seem to be a good match with SC, the games are usually entertaining.
Any of those.
As long as we avoid playing some schools so little. We have played LSU, Bama, Auburn, and each Miss school 2 times each, I think (not counting SEC champ. games.)

re: SEC expansion question for Mizzou fans
Oklahoma is a must for any of us old Big 8 fans that are still around

I've enjoyed the series with South Carolina and would like to see it continue

Kentucky has been a good series also even though they've had our number

I really don't care for the forced marriage with the piggies, but wouldn't object to it continuing

Vandy has been a great, close road trip for all of the StL Mizzou fans

Don't care about Texas A&M or the Longhorns - even though we were in the Big 12 together we had no real history

re: SEC expansion question for Mizzou fans
If we're in 4-team pods where all four teams play the other 3 every year, I think you'd see OU, UT, Arky and Mizzou together.

If we're allowed 3 permanent rivals, but we're not locked into 4-team pods and MU plays 3 teams (say including Arky) but Arky can play 2 completely different schools, then I'd say Mizzou would prefer to play OU, Arky and Kentucky.

I think Mizzou is locked into Arky (whether each side likes it or not) and the Big 8 fit with OU is almost a certainty. I like playing Carolina and I like playing Kentucky, but Kentucky is geographically more relevant and they seem like great games no matter what.

I will be heavily disappointed if we lost the mayor's cup in the expansion. I could care less about Texass. I would rather play the old big 8. Keep arkansas for the proximity to COMO and USC for the epic games.

Honestly this is the only advantage in playing them. Neither of those match ups even remotely interest me. I hated the big 8 merger with the SWC.

Missouri-SC matchups have always been entertaining. I don't know if they'll include them as a constant 3 opponent though because of geography. It's a long haul from SC to Missouri.

Please Keep SCAR. Fans are great, games are weird, but highly entertaining. Nice connection to the eastern part of the conference. Then Arkie and Okie for border states.

I am torn on pick #3.

1. Arkansas
2. Oklahoma
3. Kentucky, South Carolina, or Texas

I'd like to play OU on a regular basis. I'd also like to keep things going with USCe and UK.

I would be fine with Texas if they were thrown in, because I enjoy beating them and drinking their tears.

re: SEC expansion question for Mizzou fans
So if I’m reading the consensus right, it sounds like:

-Oklahoma
-Arkansas
-either South Carolina or Kentucky

That makes some sense. Mizzou is just the team whose fanbase I have the least familiarity with, so I didn’t know what the consensus would be. Im curious how this will all shake out and was thinking about it at work earlier today.
