Damn... but even in those games, we generally still had a helluva running attack to at least put us in the 20s or so pointswise. Hopefully things improve with your offense and you can overcome the loss of Cooper.

As for us, I bet we average around 38 or so. Slight improvement with most of the same players. Should definitely continue to be the best offense in the East.

Dobbs cant throw worth a shite either - but he's still dynamic. As for Nunez, the little we got to see of him I think he's going to be a good one. Just don't let his mentor be some drunk named garcia.

TN is reloading. Same as when I have chili cheese nachos and a sixer of beer.

UF returns almost entire 2 deep on OL.

Added a ton of weapons in recruiting. Will avg a TD or more over 18.8.

SDS sucks, but no surprise TN fans like it.

Kentucky loses Towles to transfer but he lost the job to Barker before the season was over with.

We return pretty much all of our skill position guys. I'm excited about Hinshaw's work with the WRs, especially since he laid out a very specific plan for eliminating the drops (which dropped UK at least one game last season). Barker has the skill set, if he can keep his head out of his arse the offense should be decent. And Stoops has slowly added some depth to the OL.

Florida will certainly be better than 2013 on offense barring tons of injuries like that year.

Tennessee’s X-factor could be a healthy Preston Williams, a matchup nightmare at 6-4, 209 pounds. He dealt with hamstring issues most of the latter half of his freshman season. He caught just seven balls, but for 158 yards and 2 TDs.

This is a very good point imo. Dobbs' biggest weakness is throws 15+ yards downfield but I don't think our receivers did him any favors getting separation. VOLS really need #Preston or Josh Malone to be that guy that can take the top off a defense.

The biggest loss is Cooper...it's just lazy to say it's Spurrier. My guess is Orth is the day one starter and McIlwain taking over when that doesn't work. The O Line should be solid on the interior, who knows about OT. I think the big question is how well do the WRs and RBs brought in with this recruiting class do? We lacked playmakers last year so Muschamp recruited a bunch, however, if they take a year to develop then this year on offense will be similar to last year. However, there is a decent chance they've found enough playmakers in the recruiting class to be ok.

Comment: SDS sucks as much as Mizzou's 2015 offense. That's really bad. SDS is just a click whore.

Mizzou's O is a total rebuild for 2016. Simply, nowhere to go but up from 2015.

Here is my re-write of an uninformed SDS abortion.

"Missouri

Biggest loss: C Evan Boehm was a four-year starter that anchored the OL. He played hurt for most of last year.

Who’s back: QB Drew Lock's potential. TE Sean Culkin brings a lot to the table. The Tigers also return most of their top receivers and add Bama transfer Chris Black. RB is wide-open with many strong candidates. There will be playmakers.

Forecast: Clearly the Tigers need help on offense — which puts them in the majority of the SEC East. Missouri averaged just 13.6 points per game last season, last in the league. Can the OL block???

Bottom line: The biggest reason for optimism are the new recruits and OC Josh Heupel’s arrival. A former QB at Oklahoma, Heupel also will be working with Lock. Development is essential. Missouri’s offensive improvement will hinge almost entirely on the inexperienced OFFENSIVE LINE. Can they block?"

IF, and a big IF the offensive can put up just average stats and along with the strong returning defense (maybe better than 2015), Mizzou will be a very tough opponent in the East.

Why is it always Arkansas fans who talk shite about the east? Your coach is 2-4 against the east with one of those wins coming against one of the worst Missouri teams in years. And two of those losses were absolute skull draggings at home.

And losing Spurrier? It had to happen. It should had already happened before last season began. On top of him being a sub par recruiter for the most part, the question caused recruits to go elsewhere. "How long until Spurrier retires?". Everything went downhill when he said "2-3 more years" and then backtracked and said 5-6.

Totally agree with the coaching/recruiting aspect.

But even that section of the article referring to him no longer being employed by USC is incorrect.

He just recently officially accepted the "Ambassador" position with us and he will be making 100k/yr...small change for him but he wanted the position..and he wanted to stay in Columbia.

At least SDS could have gotten that aspect of the article right...I mean, they bombed the frick out of every angle available.

ETA: Had to edit bc my damn phone is possessed and my reply was submitted when I came back from letting my dog out for the last time for the night.

Very few people. They field four of the worst teams in America.

"Butch usually doesn't run up the score" I loled because I didn't realize he regularly had opportunities to prove this as fact.

As far as the East sucking...since 2012 (expansion) the East has 3 of the 5 top records in SEC play... UGA, Mizzou, and South Carolina.

He had opportunities to do it against Kentucky, Vandy, and Northwestern. Basically mercy kneed for a quarter against all 3 of them.

Kentucky especially. We could have easily scored 70 on them.
